Chapter 1514

The main reason was that the girl didn’t even bother to edit the video and her haughty words fromearlier were also included.

Naomi hadn’t had the chance to take a look at the comments, so she quickly clicked on it and readeach one by the heading. Soon after that, she burst out laughing. “Though there are some accusatorycomments, most of them seem to be judging her by her lack of intelligence.”

Cindy smiled and walked toward the bathroom to freshen up, completely unaffected by the incident.

Coming out of the bathroom, she heard her cell phone ring and it turned out to be Ian calling her.

She was well aware of the reason for him doing so, which is why she walked over to answer the phone.

Ian’s voice rang out neutrally. “Are you alright? Did someone try to find fault with you?”

It turned out that he had seen the clip online too.

Meanwhile, Cindy merely affirmed lightly, “I don’t think I was at fault for today’s incident. Did you seethat clip on social media? It covered the whole incident.”

However, Ian didn’t seem too fussed about the incident. “Don’t take it too hard. You'll be off the trendingcharts soon enough. It’s not a big deal.”

What he said was quite true and it wasn’t a big deal after all. Besides, the person who filmed it wasobviously at fault, so this incident clearly wouldn’t come to much significance.

It was also quite likely that Cindy had become the trending topic because someone had spent money topush for that. However, most of the comments were supportive of Ian, so it was quite likely that theother party would retract it soon.

Cindy agreed and soon, she changed the topic. “Are you free right now? Let’s go out later and head toa restaurant.”

Ian replied that he was free at the moment before he asked where she intended to meet up.

Just then, Cindy smacked her lips. “I have no idea where to go for dinner. Do you have anysuggestions?”

Just then, Cindy smacked her lips. “I have no idea where to go for dinner. Do you have anysuggestions?”

Ian was quite aware that besides trailing along with him, she was usually at home the rest of the timeso she obviously wasn’t familiar with any restaurants. He, on the other hand, occasionally attendedsome gatherings with Hannah so he would have a better idea than her. And so, he replied, “Send meyour location and I’ll come over to pick you girls up. I’ll book the restaurant.”

Cindy agreed and shifted her eyes to look at Naomi. novelbin

Currently, the latter was busy scrolling through the news on the internet and her fingers tappedfuriously; it was quite likely that she was typing her comment.

Subsequently, Cindy lowered her voice and said, “Try and find somewhere that’s not too expensive yet

of good quality. It doesn’t have to be too posh, though.”

She’s quite straightforward there. Ian was tempted to laugh out loud as he murmured, “You don’t haveto worry, I’ll pay for dinner.”

As soon as he said that, he didn’t give her any chance to respond and he continued, “Alright, then. Goon and freshen up. I’ll fetch my mom before heading over to you guys. Don’t forget to send me yourlocation.” He hung up the phone instantly upon finishing his sentence.

At that point, Cindy held onto her phone and blinked her eyes. Did he mean to say that it would be histreat tonight? No, that won't do! Cindy was one with principles and she had already taken advantage ofGary for lunch today, so she was adamant not to take advantage of her next meal.

In the end, she hurriedly nagged at Naomi to stop looking at her phone. Then, they freshened up quitequickly and waited for Ian to arrive.

Naomi was no longer upset and she happily spoke to Cindy about the comments on the Internet. Theformer mentioned that the girl who had published the clip had deleted it, but that didn’t stop thescoldings from everyone else.

Most people reacted the same as Cindy and Naomi; they reckoned that the girl was too presumptuousand was too cocky to go and interfere in someone else’s life. After all, it was Ian’s choice to enter into arelationship with any girl and it had nothing to do with that person.

After Naomi had finished explaining, she also mentioned, “Did you mention this to Ian while you wereon the phone with him earlier? I think you should let him know. You should show an aggrieved look infront of him so that he’ll be pained to see you in such a state. Now that you’re in a relationship with him,

even a mere stranger could pop out of nowhere and slander you, so you must let him know all of yoursacrifices.”

Meanwhile, Cindy shot a look at Naomi and she brushed the latter off. “I’ve told him about it. Hementioned in the phone call that it won’t take too long before I’m off the trending list.”

“Saying it over the phone isn’t enough! You have to air your grievances in front of him.” Naomi thencame up with a plan for her. “You have to evoke the guilt in him and he needs to realize that you’vesacrificed a lot for him. I’ve mentioned this to you before—the entertainment industry is a world full oftemptations, especially for someone like Ian. The temptations he faced would be much more than youimagine, so the most effective way I can see right now to keep him captivated would be to evoke hisguilt toward you. As such, he would definitely try his hardest to compensate and treat you better thanever. That’s how you’d be able to have a hold of his attention.”
