Chapter 1482

As she grasped her phone, she couldn’t dismiss the smile on her face.

Never had she expected Gary to be such an amiable person. A typical famed man would exhibit somesort of ego, but Gary didn’t show even a tinge of pride.

Shortly after, she received a text from Gary.

After copying the address, she set an alarm in case she forgot about it.

If Gary set her up right, it would only be a matter of time until she became the mistress of her own.

Thanks to the man, she was on cloud nine.

Meanwhile, Ian grew somewhat lethargic after the shoot as he stretched his arms while heading to thewaiting room.

Right when he entered, he caught Cindy humming a tune by the window.

Instinctively, he frowned. “What’s that grin about?”

The surprised woman quickly turned around. “You’re done already? Let’s go.”

“Fast?” Ian was taken aback. “What do you mean by that?”

It had been a few hours, and it was twofold the time of his usual recording session.

Cindy disregarded his words and giggled. “Fine, fine. We should go.”

Weird. She’s really weird.

He could feel her oddness getting more apparent throughout the entire journey home from the studio.

Cindy was overjoyed as she prepared the food. Not only was she humming melodies, she would evenburst into laughter all of a sudden. novelbin

Ian, who was watching the TV out of boredom, grew wary of her behavior. Immediately, he sprung upfrom his seat and hurried to the kitchen door. “What happened today? Why are you this excited?”

She turned around to look at him. She didn’t think her appointment with Gary was any embarrassing.

She smirked and answered, “Something good happened today! I can already see the peak of my life infront of me!”

Ian let out a snort. “Is that so? Why don’t you spread the joy?”

She casually answered, “Remember Mr. Frye from last time? He gave me his card back then. Whileyou were still recording, I gave him a call, and he set up an appointment with me. He even said hemight introduce me to some investment projects. In other words, I can feel my path to wealth closingin!”

Ian was stupefied. “Has the appointment been set?”

Cindy nodded her head. “Yeah, we’ll be meeting soon.”

In response, he smiled. “Great. You will no longer have to be my assistant once you get rich. Whoknows, maybe one day I’ll be the one needing you when you’re a wealthy woman.”

She burst into laughter. “As if I’m already there! It’s merely a fantasy, so I still have to depend on you.”

Ian fell silent for a while before he returned to the couch to rest.

Cindy was unaffected by this, and she remained ecstatic while she continued to hum her songs as shecooked. When she was finally done, she called Ian over to eat.

Ian went to wash his hands, and when he walked to the table, Cindy’s commissures were still lifted.

It was as if she had hit the jackpot.

Ian lowered his head and took a bite. “He seems nice. I’ve always assumed someone like him to becocky.”

In response, Cindy swiftly nodded her head. “I know, right? I was surprised as well. You know what? His voice was music to my ears on the phone, and it was particularly tender.”

She revealed an admiring face after she said so.

After glancing at her, Ian snickered. “You’d better not make that face when you see him. Otherwise, you’re going to scare him away. I’m sure he has a line of ladies waiting for their turn, so he must havegrown sick of seeing such delusional women.”

Cindy quickly withdrew her adoring face. “Do you think so too? All right, I got it.”

Throughout their entire meal, she couldn’t help talking about Gary and his interviews that she hadwatched online.

On the other hand, Ian wasn’t exactly informed about Gary. All he was aware of was his existence andhis successful reputation in the investment industry.

That was pretty much his knowledge about him. Obviously, Cindy knew significantly more than himabout Gary. Thus, after laying out some facts about Gary that Ian didn’t know of, she pompously wenton with more stories about the highly respected businessman.
