Chapter 1476

Shortly after, she pondered for a bit before asking Ian, “Do you want to call your mother and see if shewants to join us for dinner?”

Aurora had mentioned that she would be moving to a new residence, and she had many items toacquire as well. Since she was so occupied, she wouldn’t be making dinner by herself.

Ian, who just got out of the bathroom after washing his face, agreed in response.

He then grabbed his phone and called Aurora, who was still cleaning up the new home.

On the other hand, Aurora was surprised to receive the call from Ian. “Yes, yes. I’ve been so busy that Ihaven’t had time to eat. I’m so tired and hungry!”

Ian replied, “In that case, just come over for dinner. I’ll go and help you clean up afterward.”

After scanning around the room, Aurora accepted his offer.

Then, she swiftly went and got changed before rushing to Ian’s home.

When she entered the house, Cindy was still preparing food in the kitchen. The woman quicklyswitched into some home slippers and went to assist Cindy.

The latter casually asked, “Have you settled everything at the new home?”

“I bought some stuff earlier, and I was going to clean up the house. The place is quite clean, but there’sdust everywhere since it’s been vacant for quite some time.”

Cindy nodded her head and replied, “In that case, you probably haven’t finished cleaning the newhome. Is there much else to do? I can go and help after dinner.”

After hesitating for a while, Aurora accepted her offer. “Sure. I can show you the new place while we’reat it as well.”

Cindy bobbed her head and suddenly queried, “Are you able to eat spicy food?”

Although Aurora used to eat spicy food, she refused after thinking for a while. “Not really. Why don’t wego for something with less spice, perhaps? I’d like to take care of my voice.”

Cindy smiled and said, “Ian prefers something less spicy as well, whereas I can’t live without myspices.”

Aurora giggled. “Actually, I love spicy food as well. But for the sake of the future, I’ve decided to stopconsuming them.”

Meanwhile, Ian was resting on the couch when he heard the ladies chatting in the kitchen. He frowned.

To be fair, Aurora wasn’t a sociable person. Although her days weren’t exactly something to be proudof, there was still a hint of pride as well as some malicious intent in her.

He tried phoning her once upon a time, but their conversation didn’t go anywhere; it was as though hismother fed on negative energies given how much she loved ranting.

Nonetheless, she was always having fun with Cindy whenever she helped the latter out in the kitchen.

Curiosity got the better of him shortly after, and he turned around to peek into the kitchen.

Cindy was seen stirring one of the dishes before she lifted her chopsticks and fed Aurora a piece tocheck on its taste.

When he saw both women acting so close together, he couldn’t help but think they were the best offriends.

As he peered at them, the ladies seemed to have said something to each other before they chortled.

Since he was affected by their fondness, Ian couldn’t help but laugh along.

It was only then he realized that Cindy had a dimple when she beamed.

He thought about it for a while, and he could only remember that there was no dimple on her othercheek.

His gaze remained on Cindy for an extended period of time. Thus, the woman noticed him and turnedher head toward Ian. novelbin

To be fair, there was nothing shameful for him to be staring. After all, there were two individuals in thekitchen, so it wasn’t like Cindy was the only center of attention.

Nevertheless, Ian felt a little embarrassed as he was caught staring and quickly withdrew his gaze.

He couldn’t help but feel slightly perturbed by how he was peering at Cindy for so long, as well as howhe had embarrassedly looked away.

So what if I get caught staring? It’s only natural that I turn to the source of noise when they’re laughingso loudly, right?

Ian was so frustrated that he never once turned to the women again.

When Cindy and Aurora called him over for dinner later on, he got up from his seat and went straight tothe bathroom without batting an eyelid.

When he came to the dining table, Cindy was already done serving the food. She gave him his set ofutensils and quizzed, “Guess which one among all these dishes was prepared by Mrs. Morgan.”

Despite observing the dishes assiduously, Ian couldn’t tell which one was the answer.
