Chapter 1451

Ian laughed. “I don’t have that much influence. These kids probably never even heard of my name.”

Cindy was relieved to hear that. “Be careful. Don’t get hurt.”

Ian nodded and went toward the students. They started splitting up into teams and played a match thatspanned all across the court.

For some reason, Cindy started getting excited. She stood outside the court and cheered for Ian asloudly as she could. But since she didn’t call his name, nobody knew who she was cheering for.

There were other people there as well, and they cheered for the players too. They were louder thanCindy, so the cheers drowned out hers immediately. Ian heard it probably, so he waved at her.

There was even a referee there with a whistle, making the match look official. Cindy didn’t know muchabout basketball. All she knew was that they were running, taking possession of the ball, and tossing atthe hoop. But still, she could recognize some simple plays. For example, Ian stopping the opposingteam’s passes, Ian’s shots, and how Ian stopped the opposing team from making shots. She knew allthe simple plays, so every time Ian’s team scored, she would jump and shout in joy.

Nobody knew Ian, so nobody knew her either. That night was the first time in a long time where Cindycould cheer with the other spectators without any worry. To be honest, Ian was fierce on the court.Even though Cindy knew nothing about basketball, she could see that clearly. He wouldn’t give anychances whenever he blocked the opposing team, and he couldn’t be stopped whenever he charged.

A couple of girls came over and looked on for a moment. “Oh, who’s that player in black? He’s hot. Oh,he scored again.”

Cindy turned around to look at them, shocked. Boys might not know who Ian was, but that wasn’talways the case with girls. After all, he had a lot of female fans, and most of them were on the youngerside.

Cindy went closer to the court and pushed her hat down. She was already prepared to take Ian and runif they found out who he was.

But even after a while, the girls were still talking about which of the players were hotter. They didn’trealize who Ian was, and that relieved Cindy. It was dark, and the players ran fast, so they couldn’t seetheir faces clearly.

Ian didn’t think that much though, since he was immersed in the match. He looked young to begin with,so he didn’t stand out among the boys. But he was a good player, and he was leading the whole team.

Halfway through the game, one of the boys came over and tapped his shoulder. “Hey, are you free onmost days? We can have a few matches here every day if you’re available.”

Ian smiled and shook his head, his hair drenched with sweat. “Not really. I’ll have to work overtimeoccasionally. Work is work, after all.” novelbin

The boy nodded. “No prob. We’ll be here almost every night. Come over if you have time. We can havea match or two.”

“Sure,” Ian replied.

Another boy showed up. “You used to train a lot, right? That’s some awesome play out there.”

“Yeah, but it’s just my hobby.”

The boy added sheepishly, “Can you teach me if you’re free?”

Ian smiled. “If I have the chance.”

Although it was just a short exchange, Ian enjoyed it very much. He chatted on the set because his jobdemanded it, but he knew everything was fake. Compared to that, the boys were genuine and saidwhat they had in mind. It had been a long time since he talked to anyone so freely.
