Ian was sitting cross-legged on the edge of the bed, reading through the articles regarding his scandalwith bemusement. Upon seeing him, Cindy quickly explained, “Ms. Jones will be handling the scandal,and we have proof with us, so we have nothing to be afraid of.”
Smiling, Ian replied, “I’m not afraid. Instead, I find this whole thing amusing.”
Cindy heaved a sigh. “Ms. Jones told me that the entertainment industry is complicated as heck, so shewanted me to be on alert at all times. I used to think that I was being overly cautious, but suchprecautions really are warranted.”
Switching off his phone, Ian stood up. “Alright, it’s time for breakfast. Let’s not think about these.”
After finishing their breakfast in the hall, Ian checked his phone again. Hannah had yet to clarify theconfusion, so Ian’s silence was being perceived as him yielding to the situation as the scandalgarnered even more attention.
On the other hand, Sena’s agency made a statement some time ago, but with how vague it was, itdidn’t sound like an explanation. All it wrote was that they wished her fans would focus on her worksinstead of uncovering parts of her private life which she wished to be kept out of sight. The manner inwhich the statement was written sounded like an acquiescence.

Meanwhile, Ian merely chuckled dryly, as he figured Sena’s reaction was in fact quite expected. Theother guest celebrities had yet to arrive at the dressing room when they were rehearsing in private, sonot a lot of people knew that Sena and him were inside. Therefore, he wouldn’t believe for a secondthat Sena’s agency wasn’t behind the scandal.
Sena was considered as a skilled singer, but her name was relatively unheard of despite having madeher debut years ago. Although her agency had tried to pair her up with someone before this, they didn’treceive a lot of attention, so Ian figured they had planned to use him as a jumping board this time.
Cindy put down her phone while looking toward Ian. “So should we be following our schedule, orshould we wait for Ms. Jones’ instructions?”
Checking the time, Ian figured that they still had time. “We’re not in a hurry, so let’s wait for a moment.”
Letting out a hum, Cindy went to sit down on the sofa that was further away from Ian. Soon enough,Hannah gave Ian a call to inform him that he was to stay in the hotel. He was barred from leaving theplace because the media already caught wind of the scandal, and were awaiting his arrival at thefilming set. Hannah also told Ian to not make any form of response online, while she would decide ontheir next course of action after handling matters.
With more than twenty years of experience, handling a scandal like that was child’s play for Hannah, soIan agreed to her conditions, trusting that she would settle things. After ending the call, Ian turnedaround to look at Cindy. “You can go get some rest. I don’t think we’ll be going anywhere today.”
Unmoving, Cindy pulled her lips into a thin line before thanking him, “I had received the money last
night. Thank you.”
Without a word, he walked back into his room, whereas Cindy finished her breakfast before cleaning upthe place, going back to her own room after that. While Ian wasn’t doing much of anything, Cindy lay inbed while following the development of the scandal online.
Ian mentioned that he had a girlfriend when he was competing in the talent show. Although he nevermentioned her again, neither did he mention that they broke up, so the public assumed that they werestill together. Therefore, the dressing room scandal wasn’t merely a scandal involving another femalecelebrity, but it also painted him as a man cheating on his girlfriend.
While there were a lot of people who began criticizing him as being unworthy of being a celebrity due tohis arrogance and immorality after rising in fame, there were also a lot of his fans who were defendinghim. In effect, it created a mess that gave Cindy a headache.
