At that moment, Sophia’s interest was instantly piqued as she grew even more curious about Logan’srelationship status. Then, Logan smacked his lips, finally responding with a sigh after a few moments ofsilence. “Hey Sophia, Jasmine and I are kind of an item now.”

When he heard that, Logan chuckled and said, “Getting a girlfriend has always been a piece of cake tome.” Then, he took a sip of beer and continued his speech. “What do you think about Jasmine whenyou saw her that day? Do you think she’ll make a good girlfriend?”
Sophia was unable to give him her opinion since she hadn’t talked much with Jasmine that day. Thus, itwas hard for her to tell what kind of person Jasmine was. After that, Sophia changed the subject andasked Logan a question. “Are you sure you’re in love with her, Logan?”
Without any hesitation, Logan immediately replied, “Yes, I am. Otherwise, why else would I ask her outfor a movie or dinner?”
Despite Logan’s determined answer, Sophia reckoned her friend still didn’t understand the meaning ofbeing in love with someone. Therefore, she put her question in a different way. “Do you feel happywhen you see Jasmine?”
Logan said, “Of course, I do, but there are times that I don’t as well, just like the time she called for myhelp to fix her water pipe.”
Sophia sighed in response as she soon realized she didn’t know how to make Logan understand herpoint. Logan really has a unique way of perceiving things when it comes to relationships. I guess hecan only find it out by experiencing it himself. After that, Sophia asked Logan an ambiguous question.“Have you and Jasmine done anything… ‘special’ as a couple?”
It didn’t take long for Logan to catch on to Sophia’s words, so he frowned and asked, “We just gottogether, so what do you expect?”
Sophia nodded. “Yeah, you’re right.” Logan is not a lecherous man in the first place. Besides, I hardlysaw any ladies around him over the years, which means he is not really that passionate in starting arelationship. For that, I believe he wouldn’t use the excuse of their relationship and take advantage ofJasmine. At the thought of that, Sophia nodded. “I hope you can remain a gentleman for as long as youcan.”
After making her point, she was worried that Logan would be confused, so she added, “Don’t doanything silly and impulsive with Jasmine if you know what I mean. After all, I’m sure you don’t want herfuture boyfriend to dump her because of that. Well, I mean, if things don’t work out for you and her inthe end.”
Nevertheless, Logan only responded with a nonchalant grunt as he didn’t seem to care what Sophiahad just told him. Then, Sophia heard the sound of Logan guzzling his beer once again, whereuponshe smiled and asked, “You have a girlfriend now, but you don’t sound happy at all. What’s wrong?” novelbin
“Oh, I’m fine. I’m just trying to digest everything that has just happened. It’s all a little sudden to me.”Logan chuckled after saying that. “I guess I might have been single for way too long.”
Sophia replied, “Hmm... Yeah, maybe you’re right, but you’ll get used to it after a while.”
Upon taking a few more sips of beer, Logan began talking more about Jasmine’s job and students,which was something that Sophia didn’t think should be the focus of their conversation. He kept ontalking about her achievements in her work, and also how her students had been showing greatimprovements. This isn’t where Logan should put his focus on. A passionate couple who have justbegun a relationship should find ways to praise their partners, such as their good looks, familybackground and so on, Sophia thought.
