Kabanata 345 “Ayos lang. Hindi na kita babanggitin kahit na mahanap niya ako. Huwag kang mag-alala!” sabi ni Eric. “Sige. Siguraduhing magtrabaho sa iyong rehabilitation therapy. Maghihintay ako saiyong pagbabalik.” “Ibibigay ko ang lahat!”
Nang gabing iyon, nakatanggap si Eric ng hindi inaasahang bisita sa kanyang villa sa kabundukan.
Hindi niya inaasahan na mahahanap siya ni Elliot Foster nang ganoon kaaga.
Dumating si Elliot na may kasamang babae.
“Hello, Eric. I’m sorry for barking in you,” magalang na sabi ni Elliot. “Matagal na kitang hinanap.Natatakot ako na baka tumagal pa kung hindi dahil sa video na nai-post mo online kaninang umaga.”
Walang labis na emosyon sa mukha ni Eric.

Sumulyap si Elliot kay Shea, saka sinabing, “May pusa diyan, Shea. Bakit hindi ka pumunta attingnan?”
Lumayo si Shea para makita ang pusa kasama ang bodyguard.
Inalis ni Elliot ang tingin kay Shea at ibinalik ang tingin kay Eric.
“Kapatid ko siya. Siya ay nagkaroon ng kapansanan sa pag-iisip mula noong siya ay ipinanganak.”
Natigilan si Eric.
“My sister is adorable and kind,” Elliot said in a hoarse voice as tears formed in his eyes. “You wouldunderstand what I mean if you know about what she’s been through.”
He handed over a few photos to Eric.
Eric took the photos and saw the photo of a little girl lying on a bed.
She was skin and bones and covered in bruises. It was a ghastly sight!
Eric could not bring himself to look further and put the photos down.
“Do you know how she got hurt?” Elliot said as he put the photos away. “My father beat her. Due to herillness, my father was always ashamed of her and abused her. It’s hard to imagine that she’s beenthrough such dark times after seeing the way she smiled at you earlier, right?”
Eric was affected by Elliot’s words.
“Mr. Foster, are you thinking of asking my doctor to help your sister?”
“That’s right. I’m willing to give up anything as long as it can help my sister’s condition.”.
“My family contacted Professor James Hough after my accident,” Eric explained honestly.” Theprofessor would probably have been the one to operate on me if he did not pass away.”
Elliot raised his eyebrows as he waited for Eric to continue.
“After the professor’s sudden passing, his assistant, Wesley, arranged another doctor for me.”
Eric paused for a moment. In the end, his emotions won over his reason.
“I’m sure you know Miss Avery Tate. She isn’t willing to reveal that she was the one who carried out mysurgery.”
Elliot was at a loss for words.
Avery Tate!
How could it be her?
She was a medical student, but she did not have a career in medicine after she graduated.
How was it possible that she could operate on Eric Santos?!

Umiling si Eric.
“She’s my ex wife,” sabi ni Elliot habang kumikirot ang kanyang puso.
Nagsinungaling si Avery sa kanya!
Hindi raw niya kilala si Eric Santos. Ito ba ang ibig niyang sabihin na hindi siya kilala?!
