Chapter 829 Don'T Want To Owe Him

Chapter 829 Don't Want to Owe Him

Thus, how could she not value her life so as to take vengeance for Sarah?

At the thought of this, Queeny's eyes turned cold.

As though he had sensed the dark aura Queeny was emitting, Felix's eyes also darkened a bit. He said

in a deep voice, "Don't worry. I'll help you seek vengeance and crush those gangs."

Unexpectedly, Queeny didn't refuse this time.

"Thank you," she replied.

She was aware that they were powerful.

She might be able to get this done by herself. But the risks were too high. Her rate of success would

not be promising.

But things would be different if Felix was on her side.

Felix was powerful, smart, and resourceful. As long as he joined her league and united with her for the

same goal, she might actually beat them.

When they arrived in Queeny's room in the side building, Felix finally let go of her wheelchair.

Queeny looked back at Ella and said, "Give us a moment."

Ella was glad to leave. "Sure," she said with a smile, then exited the room in a hurry.

Queeny knew Ella had misinterpreted this. She and Felix would only talk about business. But Ellanovelbin

seemed to have thought that they had patched things up and were dating again.

But Queeny was not in the mood to explain anything.

After Ella left, she asked Felix to close the door before saying seriously, "The one they wanted to

poison is me. But they failed this time. I'm sure they will try to kill me again."

Felix nodded.

"Who do you think did this?"

Queeny answered, "The first group of people."

At this moment, her eyes glinted with a cold, murderous look.

"They used such a strong toxic because they wanted me dead. In fact, if Bella was not a healthy

person and there was no doctor in the castle, she would probably die because of this.

"I'm not like Bella. As everyone knows, I'm still recovering from my injuries. I'm pretty much crippled. If I

were poisoned, I would be on my deathbed even if I didn't die immediately."

Felix was of the same mind.

He then asked, "What do you plan to do then?"

Queeny's beautiful brows slightly puckered.

She said in a serious tone, "I can't be on alert at all hours. They did so many things but we still haven't

found out who they are. We don't even have a clue. I figure we can't continue with this laid-back

strategy. This time, Bella got poisoned. Who would be the next victim? Even if it's not me, I don't want

to be a time bomb that may hurt those who are around me."

For some reason, Felix began to smile when he heard those words.

His deep eyes appeared to be smiling as well when they were rested on her. A hint of wicked humor

was revealed on his face.

Felix chuckled and said, "You don't hate her anymore? You're actually plagued by guilt for her being

poisoned?"

Queeny was dazed at this. When she took the cue, her face showed anger at once.

She said sternly, "When have I ever been jealous of her? Felix, don't be ridiculous."

Felix laughed. He strode over and abruptly bent down while putting his hands on the armrests of her

wheelchair. In a soft voice, he asked, "You've never been jealous of her? Like I'd believe that. Queeny, I

know you're just too proud to admit."

His cool, deep voice fluttered into Queeny's ears, causing her heart to jolt.

Somehow, she felt her cheeks were burning.

She didn't dare or perhaps didn't want to meet his eyes. Thus, she looked away in a fluster.

At the same time, she stubbornly denied, "I have no idea what you're talking about."

Felix sniggered.

But he didn't try to press Queeny. After he straightened up, he instantly became aloof and composed

again.

He backed away two paces and leaned against a table behind him, saying, "Go on."

Queeny looked confused. A moment later, she understood Felix was asking her to continue with the

previous subject.

She felt her temper rising and called him names in her head.

After that, the blush on her face subsided, and she began to talk again.

"Since we can't remain defensive, I plan to lure them out. They've been hiding in the dark. So I'll just go

out and expose myself. They'd laid low for so long before resorting to poisoning. Obviously, they had

tried all the other possible ways, but nothing they did hurt me. So they used poison even though it was

likely to fail.

"If it didn't work, I would be alarmed. Hence, they must be at the end of their wits. Otherwise, they

wouldn't make this move."

"Such being the case, why not we play along? Let's act like we don't know anything. You can even

spread the words that I'm the one who poisoned Bella. As for the motive, as you people say, it's that I'm

jealous of Bella because of her relationship with you."

"This way, they might believe we haven't noticed they're behind the scene. They've been waiting for a

long time to get to me. Now, if I go out alone, they would see it as a good opportunity. Even if they may

have doubts about why I'm acting alone, they certainly won't let go of such a golden opportunity to hurt

me."

After she finished speaking, Felix's eyes darkened a little.

He asked, "How can I help then?"

Queeny didn't keep him in suspense. She looked up at him and said straightforwardly, "I want you to

act like a debauched king this time. You will have a falling-out with me in front of everyone in the castle

and even... throw me out!"

Felix looked shocked on hearing her words.

His face turned frosty as well.

Seconds later, he said with a cold laugh, "I thought you'd asked me to play a sweet couple with you.

We could go out to have dinner in someplace nice. This way, we had a reason to expose us, which

would have the same effect."

However, Queeny shook her head.

She said blandly, "To be honest, this was what I planned to do. But just now, it occurred to me that it

would be too dangerous for us to go out together, as we don't know who they are. I think I should go

out alone first. If anything happened, you could come and help."

However, her words put an extremely surly look on Felix's face.

"Dangerous? You think we would be in more danger than you going out alone?"

Queeny frowned.

She had clearly sensed Felix's anger. She was also aware of why he was vexed. Yet, she could not do

anything about it.

She then said seriously, "Felix, I don't want you to get hurt because of me."

Felix's face darkened.
