Chapter 70

c Chapter 70

Madison was wearing a smoke green off-shoulder dress today. Her s e x y collarbones were exposed, and her slightly curled hair hung diagonally to one side. Her exquisite face was half-covered, lookingpure and charming. Coupled with her raised eyebrows, she looked like a fatal attraction.

Neville was also a man. Back then, he was willing to accept Madison mostly because of her face. Afterall, the things he used had to match his aesthetic taste.

It was just that she was usually too indifferent and mature in her clothes. She was not as beautiful asshe was now.

It seemed that ever since the two of them divorced, Madison was like a flower that hadn’t seen water ina long time. It instantly bloomed with even more brilliance.

Neville immediately suppressed his anger and said in a deep voice, “I want to talk to you alone.”

Madison smiled and said. “There’s no private matter between me and Mr. Preston. Hazel is not anoutsider. If there is anything you want to say, you can say it here.”

Neville had obviously lost his patience. He suddenly opened the car door, grabbed her wrist, and pulledher towards a secluded place.

Madison s t a g e r e d behind him in her high heels. “Neville, let go!”

Her “Neville made him feel much better. At least, it carried her own emotions, unlike the cold “Mr.Preston”.

After she steadied herself. Neville let go of her wrist and said with a solemn expression, “Don’t youwant to explain something to me?

Madison burst into laughter. “Is Mr. Preston pursuing my past concealment or condemning me foroffending Miss Conner? If it was in the past, I wouldn’t have to explain it to you. After all, when the twoof us received our divorce certificate, everything had already ended. It would be meaningless to dig upold scores.”

“As for Miss Conner, it’s just an eye for an eye. I originally wanted to let her off and let her be your wifewithout a hitch, but she provoked me again and again. If I don’t retaliate, I’ll really be treated as apushover by her. If Mr. Preston insists on seeking justice for Alison, I don’t mind going against you tothe end. After all, justice is in the hearts of people.”

For the first time, Neville felt helpless against Madison!

Neville thought inwardly, “That’s right. What kind of identity should I use to lecture her and what kind ofreason do I use to pursue her mistakes?

‘Should I admit that I did not care enough about her to not know what she was doing, or should I proveto her that I and Alison were innocent?’

Everything seemed to have lost its meaning.

However, for some reason, his chest felt inexplicably suffocated and uncomfortable. He also feltinexplicably frustrated. He immediately said angrily, “Since you know that we’re done, don’t let yourlousy matter involve the Preston family!”

Madison understood. He felt that the Preston family had lost face, so he came to get an answer fromher.

If an apology could make him get lost immediately, she wouldn’t mind.

Madison immediately smiled and said, “I’m sorry, Mr. Preston. I really didn’t think of this back then. Letme apologize to

you.

Chapter 70

She then bowed slightly to Neville. Her posture was neither servile nor overbearing. It was as ifsomething had stabbed a thorn in his heart. He could not pull it on or touch it, but it made him feeluncomfortable.

Seeing that he did not speak for a long time, Madison said, “Mr. Preston, I’ve apologized. Can I leavenow?”

She seemed eager to get away from him, as if he were a venomous snake.

This realization ignited a ball of anger in Neville’s heart. He immediately said angrily, “You’d better stopplaying tricks behind my back. Otherwise, I can make you and your Loveille disappear from this worldwith a flick of my finger!”novelbin

He had previously advised Ryan to buy Loveille, so he knew about Loveille’s assets and strength.

Although Loveille is a leading niche brand, it makes less than 1% of FT’s annual profits due to its lackof productivity.

He wondered how Madison could afford that Koenigsegg.

At the thought of this, Neville became even more frustrated.

How many more things was this woman hiding from him?

From the beginning, this marriage had been filled with deception. He felt like a fool being played by her.

He even felt that Madison’s request for a divorce was premeditated.

Unhappy. Neville drove straight to the bar.

Ryan happened to be discussing a project with a client. Seeing that Neville was drinking alone, he satdown.

“Neville, are you depressed because of your ex-wife? Do you want me to help you get her back?”

Neville suddenly took a sip of red wine. “Hmph. She’s good at scheming and plotting. You can have heranytime!”

A woman’s love was so superficial that she could turn hostile in the blink of an eye. He did not know ifher love in the past was real or fake.

Ryan rubbed his hands. “Then I’m going to really go after her then, okay?”

Neville sneered. Up to you, but I have to remind you that she’s best at pretending to be affectionate.Don’t be deceived by her until you lose the clothes on your back.”

Ryan blinked. “Then what did she fool you into giving away?”

Neville’s eyes darkened. He had always guarded his heart very well. He wondered what could shepossibly take from him.

He just felt that this woman was really despicable. She had acted for three years without beingexposed.

Madison felt a lump in his throat.

She took the cigarette from Hazel and took a puff.

No wonder people liked to smoke when they were frustrated and depressed. The smell of the cigaretteburned every pore, and there was an inexplicable sense of transparency.

“What did that s t u p i d Neville say to you?”

“What else could it be? He’s probably feeling indignant for Alison, but he doesn’t have any excuses. He’s deliberately making things difficult for me.”

Chapter 70

“May

“Oh g o d. How shameless. However, he’s really devoted to Alison. Regardless of whether the otherparty is right or wrong. he’s always on her side. I think your collaboration with the Fliwip will be ruined.”

Madison’s heart was pierced. Yes, Neville was a parmer of Fliwip. This competition was a solo showprepared for Alison. No matter the outcome. Alison had already been internally determined as the finalwinner. She was just a sideshow.

“It doesn’t matter. Without the FT. Loveille has other options”

At this meanent, Madison’s phone kept vibrating. Seeing that she had blocked the number, Hazelasked, “Is that a call from the Guzman family?”

“Well, the Guzman family’s harassing calls haven’t stopped since those statements were made,”

She did not need to guess to know that the Guzman family would definitely scold her for beingheartless and heartless. She would make the Guzman family lose face and become the joke of theentire Norton.

“I think Camilo and his wife are hugging each other and crying. After all, they lost a big fish like you.”

“Heh, they’re thick-skinned. I’m afraid they’re planning to take something back from me.”

“When the time comes, don’t be soft-hearted. No matter what cards they play, ignore them.”

Madison sneered. “Don’t worry. I’ll use the same tricks they used on me back then on them.”

Back then, when she asked Camilo for tuition fees, Lily had found many excuses, and none of themwere the same.

After the two of them stopped the car, Hazel brought Madison to the jewelry exhibition hall.

As soon as she entered, she saw three familiar figures.

Madison frowned and thought, ‘Enemies were always destined to meet.
