Chapter 983

She stopped to look back at me. She raised her eyebrows and said haughtily, "Who said | was leaving? | was just going to thebathroom."

She sauntered off into the bathroom and closed the door.

Linda was understandably confused. She looked at me, "The two of you know each other?"

I nodded.

Not long after, Naomi came out of the bathroom and looked at us, "I've ordered some wine. Let's go drink?"

“Of course!" Linda said as she walked to the table and sat down, "Since we're drinking, shall we order some side dishes aswell?"

"It's done. It'll be here soon!" Naomi sat down and said without preamble, "Are you Sebastian's personal assistant?"

Linda choked out in surprise, "Well, it's just a job, nothing personal."

After a pause, she looked at me and said, "Arianna, sit down."

| sat down next to Linda. Naomi refused to look at me. It seemed that she was still a little angry at me. Linda could sense it.

She smiled and tried to keep the peace. "Fortunately, you were here tonight. Otherwise, Oscar, that son of a b*tch, may havedone something to us."

"It was a piece of cake!" Naomi said as if she didn't mind at all.Linda was curious and said, "Miss Attwood, is your patriarch Mr. Attwood, the same Mr. Attwood | am thinking about?"

Naomi pursed her lips, thought for a moment, and dismissed it casually, "Don't think so much. Let's drink. It was fate that broughtus together."

| didn't know much about Naomi's background. | met her on the way to Myanway. Everyone talked a little about their owncircumstances but never went into the details. | didn't say much about myself, so it felt normal when they didn't tell me mucheither.

Linda dropped the matter. Anyway, the waiter arrived at that point to serve our wine and side dishes.

Linda poured a glass of wine and held up her glass, "I have to thank you for what you did today. I'll drink first for our newfriendship."

Naomi raised her glass and cheered, "Come on, bottoms up!"After downing her drink, Linda said, "But wait, how did you get in? We didn't see you earlier. Was it really a coincidence?"

Naomi explained while looking at me, "I saw you in the hall. Later, | heard that the waiter was going to open a room for thatbast*rd. | made a deal with the waiter and came in first."

Linda nodded, "It was fortunate that we met you. Otherwise, | fear what that guy would've done to us!"

| looked at Naomi and said sincerely, "About this afternoon, | was too impulsive. Thank you for helping me."novelbin
