Chapter 801

Fortunately, after some toss and turns, Austin leaned onto the couch and fell silent. | thought that he was too drunk and hadfallen asleep.

When | looked over, | found him staring at the ceiling in a daze. He was so quiet that it was frightening.

Looking at his despondence, | couldn't help but turn to Hendrix and asked, "Who was he yearning for?"

Hendrix raised his brows but didn't say anything; he had no intention of answering me.

After a moment's thought, | drew closer to him and asked, "Andrea?" | couldn't think of anyone else other than her.

Probably because he heard what | said, Austin immediately sprung up from the couch and sat up straight. He looked toward meand yelled furiously, "Andrea Burton, you must be blind! What's so good about Hendrix? He's just a little wealthier, a little better-looking! If you want money, | can give it to you!"

| was speechless at his sudden reactions.| lifted my eyes to look at Hendrix. His expression was as per usual; he seemed very calm.

Looking at Austin, | smiled slightly and wanted to console him, but | would probably laugh as soon as | spoke, so | didn't sayanything in the end.

Instead, Hendrix reached out to hold me in his arms. He lowered his voice and said, "Don't bother with him. He'll be fine once hegets sober."

| was dumbfounded. In a hushed voice, | asked, "Is Mr. Shelley always like this?"

His slender fingers touched the glass of water. He raised it to his mouth. His thin lips were a luscious red; they looked veryseductive.novelbin

"Occasionally!" He spat out one word and turned to look at me. Seeing that | was staring at his lips in a daze, he put down hisglass as he smirked and asked, "Yes?"

| came back to my senses and coughed to cover up my embarrassment as | said, "Oh!"

| looked away, but my heartbeat had inexplicably sped up. This man was probably a devil; he’s so good at mystifying others’hearts.

Thankfully, Austin quieted down after his fit of drunkenness. He probably realised that there was no use in yelling.

Thus, he decided to just lie on the couch and close his eyes to sleep.

Hendrix glanced at him for a bit, then turned his dark eyes onto me. In a deep, restrained voice, he said, "Let's go home!"

| nodded and glanced at Austin. "Shall we send him home?" | asked.

He shook his head and said, "No, we'll just bring him downstairs."

As he finished speaking, he stood up and held up the drunken Austin with one arm. Looking toward me, he said, "Let's go!"

After we exited the Emperor Club, the Shelley family's chauffeur came up to help Austin. He thanked Hendrix then left withAustin.
