Chapter 706

Not long after | talked to her, Evan's call came. | was slow to answer the phone.

Avoice came through the phone, sounding a little hurried. "Madam, Hendrix is in a meeting now. The bodyguards told me thatyou met Chloe in the hospital. Can you go somewhere else with them first?”

| frowned and knew what he meant. The media was probably on an active lookout for me now, since Chloe had most likelyrevealed my whereabouts after our earlier quarrel.

After a pause, | said, "Alright, got it!"

After bidding Yana farewell, | quickly left. The few bodyguards that were guarding the door looked a little anxious and much moreguarded than usual.

It was clear to see that Chloe had ousted the fact that | was at the hospital to the reporters.

| got into the car and a few cars followed us as soon as we got on the road. The people in the car began to take out theircameras, pointing them at our car, readying to snap whatever photos they could of me.

Although the bodyguards had winded up all the windows, this was an opportunity that rarely came by for the reporters - theywouldn't just give up the chase this easily.

Some fearless reporters overtook the car and started taking pictures of us from ahead of the car. This, no doubt, would attract the attention of passers-by.

As Jarold City was infamous for its traffic jams, the bodyguards hastily turned into another junction, worried that an accidentmight await us if we were to use the main roads.novelbin

However, the commotion was so loud that it attracted the attention of many. The car was blocked before it could reach the placewhere Evan had instructed us to go.

The car was forced to a stop and a large group of people started surrounding the car.The bodyguards were also troubled after seeing this. They immediately dialed for Evan.

“Make sure everyone stays in the car. Keep Madam protected and wait for me to come over!" Evan's voice boomed over thephone's speakers.

The bodyguards nodded and did as they were told. However, big crowds surrounded the car. If no one got out, the reporters would have plenty of ways to force them to do so.

There was a loud knock on the car door. No matter how solid the car was, it could not withstand the destruction of so manypeople.

The voices of countless people could be heard outside the car. As time passed, the questions from those outside turned intoaggressive scolding. They berated us for quite some time; false and untrue things escaping their mouths.

| had a headache due to all the squabble. My head was buzzing, so | became quite irritated by everything that was happening.| intertwined both of my hands and started scratching them until crimson liquid could be seen.

When the bodyguards saw this, they were shocked and began to panic in their seat.

They called Evan again, who was still driving. He said, "No matter what happens, don't get out of the car!"

A bodyguard said, "Madam's hands are hurt and her face is pale. Something's not right."

Evan yelled back after a pause, "Hold on!"| was so overwhelmed by the cursing outside the carthat | had a hard time breathing.
