Chapter 593

Looking at the bouquet in my arms, I chuckled. I knew he would be back, but I did not expect that he

would come back so fast.

Putting love and dislike aside, maybe the joy in my heart was the best result.

I took out the key and opened the door. It was dark, but the moonlight was bright.

I pointed at Anne's room and he carried her in. When he came out, there were some wrinkles on his

clothes, but it did not affect his handsomeness.

"Do you mind if I stay over tonight?" he said with a faint smile at the corners of his mouth.

I lowered my eyes and handed him the toiletries I found. Without saying anything more, he took them

from my hands and walked into the guest room.

Evan did not seem to have come with him. It was not hard to guess that he came here not because of

work, but because of me.

There were some things that we should not think too much about. He maintained his gentle demeanor

and started staying here.

Perhaps because of his sudden appearance, the number of times Norman came to the house alsonovelbin

decreased.

He was in charge of picking up and sending Anne to school. He also began to help me cook and even

washed my clothes after I changed them.

The three of us lived quite peacefully together. If we could not finish the fruits in the backyard, I would

pick some and bring them to the hotel every day.

Cecil was still working at the hotel, but she was not as arrogant as before. When we met occasionally,

she would keep a straight face but remained silent.

That was not something bad as well. After all, it's better than having to smile at the person whom you

have obviously fallen out with.

At lunchtime, Cecil took the initiative to come and look for me. She said that she wanted to have lunch

with me.

I refused, "I'll go back home for lunch."

She was quite calm. "You can't do this. My father's in prison now so I won't be a threat to you anymore.

I know that in the past, I was arrogant and bratty, and had offended a lot of people. Everyone hates me

in their hearts. But after all, I still need to live. The hotel is my workplace. I don't want our relationship to

become so rigid and make everyone so awkward."

"We'll just have a simple meal together. I don't have the intention of reconciling with you. It's just for

show," she continued.

I pursed my lips and smiled lightly. "You are straightforward."

She shrugged. "Since things have come to this point, there's no use for me to do anything. I must

compromise."

"Okay!" I nodded because I did not think that it was a big deal.

There were very few decent restaurants in Hovell, but she had managed to find one with a nice

environment. She was done ordering the food.

She looked at me and said, "Since you are Charles' daughter, why can't you be together with Hendrix

openly and aboveboard?"

I was taken aback and was a little surprised at her topic. "What do you mean to be open and

aboveboard?"

She looked at me and seemed like she did not

believe me.

I took a sip of water and said, "Regarding my relationship with him, it seems to have nothing to do with

you being an outsider."

What she said was not pleasant to the ears.

I frowned and said, "If you want to know more about these gossips, you can spend your lunchtime

watching the entertainment news."

After saying that, I stood up as I lost my appetite.
