Chapter 567

I looked down and raised my hand to rub my sore and swollen eyes, "This was wrong since the start of

it all. And since it was a mistake, let's separate before it's too late. Let's start over from scratch!"

"Hah!" He sneered coldly at me, "What was wrong? What do you mean by starting over from scratch?

Arianna, is this the punishment that you've sentenced me to?"

I looked up at him, my expression unreadable, "I won't take anything from the Roberts family, including

Advancer Tech which Grandpa transferred to me. I don't want any money. I will return all of this as

payment to Grandpa for taking care of me back then."

He lowered his gaze and his cold lips trembled slightly. He spoke with a sneer as he suppressed his

anger, "What's the reason?"

The reason?

I smiled. After going through so much, I seemed to be all out of emotions and feelings. Whatever

happened, I would keep everything in my heart, letting them rot bit by bit.

"I've been married to you for three years. From the day I stepped into the Roberts family's house, I

knew that Andrea was special to you. And so, I had decided from the very beginning that even if we

had to part ways one day for her sake, I would be understanding of it."

Looking into his dark eyes, I tried to force a smile but failed, "You didn't protect me well nor did you lovenovelbin

me. I couldn't make you fall in love with me because I was not good enough. I don't blame you.

However Hendrix, even if you think that I'm stupid and know that I love you, you shouldn't have hurt me

like this. You shouldn't have involved me and our baby into your schemes just for Andrea."

He said with a lowered gaze, "What did Andrea say to you?"

I pursed my lips. My nails dug into my palm to ease the pain in my heart, "She said what she needed to

say. Since I was young, I never wanted to find my own parents at all. You wanted Andrea to have my

identity so that she could have a bright future. I'm not upset about that at all. However, you shouldn't

have dragged me into this. As I said before, as long as you divorced me, I will take my child with me

and I can still live a good life. You and Andrea, simply by relying on the Moore family, can go even

further."

"Arianna..." He started, his eyes grim and dark, and his voice sounded restrained, like he was keeping

in all sorts of emotions.

I took a deep breath and continued, "So, why did you mess with my life? You let me bear the

heartbreak and sorrow of grief. You brought trouble to the people around me. You never let me go.

What on earth did I do to make you hate me so much that you'd want me to stay with you and be

tortured by you in every way possible?"

"I..." He trailed off again, his voice sounding a little choked. I sighed and wanted to laugh, but I couldn't

anymore. I said emotionlessly, "I'll find someone to get the divorce papers ready. Hendrix, do me this

last respect. Please, let me go."

He looked at me and his eyes turned red. He felt pain surging through his heart, tearing his chest apart

from within.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. "You may leave now."

I pulled the quilt over me to shield me from the glare. I refused to look at anything.

When Valerie and Pedro arrived, they saw Hendrix standing by the hospital bed in defeat. He looked

grim and depressed.

Valerie peered at me lying on the hospital bed. She then said, "Why did you throw up blood? Did you

find out what happened?"
