downstairs.
My head was still buzzing. I would go crazy if I continued to torture myself.
The midwives were not working today. I went into the kitchen and found out there were abundant
vegetables and meat in the refrigerator.
After thinking for a while, I decided to make mushroom soup for breakfast.
Hendrix came down to the kitchen after his bath. He stopped at the kitchen entrance and watched me
washing the vegetables.
He stood motionlessly, smiled as he looked at me with his dark eyes.
I turned around to look at him. I asked, "What do you want for breakfast? The midwives are not working
today."
"Anything is fine." He answered as he hugged me from behind. His handsome cheek was on my face
and asked in a sexy low voice, "Do you want to go for a walk later?"
I shook my head. "Ian will bring Anne over later, Uncle Charles and Aaron will be here as well."
Hendrix nodded. He asked while holding my hand as he saw me cutting the vegetable clumsily. "Are
you planning to cook later?"
I nodded and asked, "Can't I?"
He laughed. "Okay, but I suggest you remind them to fill up their stomach before coming."

Hendrix took the knife from my hand and said, "There is some milk and juice in the refrigerator. Have a
drink first."
I guess I am not wanted in the kitchen.
I was a little embarrassed. I went up to the bedroom and changed my clothes. Hendrix had finished
preparing the breakfast when I came down.
There was mushroom soup with a few side dishes as well as a fried egg which looked very delicious.
He smiled as he saw I changed my clothes. He said, "Come and eat!"
I sat down, but I did not eat. I clutched my chin as I asked Hendrix, "Did grandfather teach you howto
cook when you were a child?"
He shrugged and answered, "The men in the family learned what they should. Uncle Trent and
grandfather are good at cooking."
