Chapter 540
Aaron waited outside the villa with a very low-profile Mercedes Benz.
I got in the car asking, "Why are you so low-profile all of a sudden?"
He ignited the car engine and said, "I will get uncle Charles into trouble if I am too flashy."
I shrugged my shoulders and didn't say much. I looked at him and asked, "Can you find out the
grudges between Hendrix and Josiah?"
He frowned, "Grudges? Aren't they two brothers? What sort of grudges do you want to check?"
"I don't know yet, just look into it," I could not figure the reasons why Andrea and Nerissa did such
things to me.
These people came for Hendrix. Nerissa and Andrea might have been pulled in to camouflage their
real intention.
He frowned and nodded, "Alright, I'll check it out!"
At the Police Station.
Kelsey was waiting at the door. She was dazed to see me and Aaron. She stepped forward and
greeted, "Miss Reid!"
She seemed a little nervous, as she needed to talk to Calvin later.
I patted her hand to pacify her. "Don't worry. Just talk as if it's a farewell."
The police took her into the interrogation room. Aaron looked at me and said, "You ask me to be your
driver, didn't you?
"Can't I?"
He pursed his lips, feeling speechless. "Yes, you can!"
He said after a while, "You can't get anything from Calvin. Don't waste your energy. You might find
something from Nerissa."
I frowned and felt some pain in my head. "I have to give it a try."
"Is the result ready?" I sound agitated.
Aaron was surprised by my question. He answered, "It's out, but the protocols require Hendrix to take it

I frowned, asking, "I am the party directly involved, can't I take it myself?"
He pressed his lips while slightly narrowed his eyes. "You wish to find out yourself?"
I answered, "I should at least find out who was trying to harm me!"
He looked at me and sighed. Then he said, "Wait here. I'll ask."
Kelsey came out not long after Aaron left. I stopped her as she was about to talk.
"It's a little late today. Let's have dinner on another day."
She was stunned for a moment and noticed that Aaron had returned. She looked at me and nodded,
"Thank you for helping today."
Then, she turned around and thanked Aaron, "Thank you, Mr. Reid!"
Aaron shrugged, "Why thank me? It's getting late. Let's have dinner together."
"No, I have to go back to the countryside. I will make a move first." Kelsey left after explaining.
Aaron looked at me and pursed his lips, "Your staff behaves exactly like you too. What do you want to
eat?"
"Whatever is fine!" I responded. I got into the car and asked him, "What is the result of the test?"
He answered, " It's not Haward. They are still running the checks."
"I know it's not Haward. I want to know who the man in the hotel was. He may have designed the whole
thing. Andrea and Nerissa are just scapegoats." There was a message from Kelsey.
I took a quick glance at the message before putting the mobile phone away.
Aaron drove towards downtown. The sky was getting darker, "Uncle Charles and I will continue
investigating this matter. Don't worry and take good care of your health. Ian said that your depression is
getting worse. You are welcomed at our home if you cannot bear staying at Flora Hill. I don't like that
bastard Hendrix anyway. You will be the princess of the Reid Family. I will take care of you for the rest
of your life."
