Chapter 526
Andrea and Austin came in together after a few minutes. Andrea was still wearing the same clothes we
saw her wearing at Flora Hill. The haggardness and loneliness on her face could be seen through our
naked eyes.
Valerie stood up from her seat with a scowl on her face. She asked Andrea, "Didn't I tell you to stop
looking for me?"
Valerie walked towards Andrea angrily, but she was held back by Pedro.
Pedro calmly told Andrea, "Please join us since you are here. All the dishes are ready to be served."
Andrea refused. Her eyes were reddish and swollen. She asked Pedro, "Father, what have I done?
Why did you and mother refuse to see me?"
Pedro sighed, did not want to continue the conversation. He looked at her and said, "Andrea, everyone
is here. We'll talk about it after dinner, okay?"
Andrea still wanted to say something, but she was stopped by Austin. Both of them sat down.
Andrea was seated near to us. I could see her eyes burning with jealousy when she saw Hendrix
passed me some food.
Valerie was attending to her guests. She turned to me and said with a smile, "Hendrix told me you like
dessert, so I had asked the kitchen staff to make you a matcha flavor dessert. Why don’t you have a
try? You must eat nutritious food since you are breastfeeding. You are too thin so you must take care of
yourself."
She placed a matcha flavored dessert in front of me as she was talking. She even served me a bowl of
soup.
I was not used to Valerie being so attentive. I frowned at Hendrix as I did not understand what wasnovelbin
going on.
Hendrix only said, "See if you like it?"
I did not say much since he said so. I took a small bite of the dessert and it tasted really good.
However, I could not continue eating as I had so many questions in my mind.
I also took a few sips of the soup, it tasted delicious too.
Valerie wanted to fill up more soup when she knew I liked it. Hendrix stopped her and said, "Valerie, I
will attend to her needs.”
Hendrix's attentiveness towards me made Andrea burnt in anger, she shot me a deadly look.
Ian, who had taken care of Anne for some time, could tell that she was hungry from a single glance as
she kept whining.
She looked at me and asked, "Did you bring a milk bottle with you?"
Hendrix found the milk bottle and fed it to Anne. However, the little girl did not want to drink and keep
grabbing my dress.
I carried Anne out from the baby stroller, but she kept grabbing my hand. I could not help asking,
"What's going on here?"
"Maybe she doesn't want to drink from the milk bottle. Arianna, why do you go upstairs and feed her in
one of the rooms?" Sawyer, who had been looking pale, told me.
Seeing this, Valerie quickly offered, "Let me take you up. It is normal if babies refuse to drink from a
milk bottle."
I did not say much. I carried Anne up to the second floor.
"You may feed her here, the little one must have been very hungry," Valerie said thoughtfully.
I sat on the chair comfortably. Without thinking too much, I began to breastfeed Anne.
I expected Valerie to leave the room after a short while. Instead, she stood next to me, watching.
Anne was eventually happy with her milk. She would grab her feet with her little hands and would look
around with her big round eyes while drinking her milk. She was extremely adorable.
"Arianna, you're too thin and you've just given birth to a baby. Both you and Hendrix are still young so
you would not know how to take care of yourself. Why don't you stay in the Pearis Manor for a few
days? Sawyer told me that you plan to spend this New Year together. Why don’t you all come to the
Pearis Manor? We have chefs and nutritionists who can look after you. What do you think?"
