Chapter 487

At the time, she was pregnant. I stayed with Irvin for a month after the incident, and during that time, I

had tried many ways to end my life.

Irvin had been busy taking care of me, so he had no time to care about anyone else. Based on his

personality, if I didn't take the initiative to ask to see Monique, he would not have voluntarily looked for

her, let alone agitate her.

Vicious means like this...

"It was Josiah's assistant, Chloe!" He exclaimed, his voice was a little cold.

Chloe!

I frowned and couldn't help but remember her as the girl who always dressed nicely. She was the same

girl that Andrea had humiliated in the Emperor Club.

"Chloe?"

Ian nodded. "She took the initiative to look for Monique. I don't know what she told Monique, but she

was in a bad mood after talking to Chloe. When Monique left, she warned that we should never tell

Josiah about the child."

Not tell Josiah about the child?

I didn't say anything more. In life, no matter what one did, one had to be tough. If they were too weak

from the start, everyone would think them an easy target.

Seeing that I didn't say anything else, and was just staring at the ceiling in a daze, Ian called out to me,

"Arianna, you..."

"I'm fine!"

I pushed away all my emotions and turned to Kelsey, "You may have to help me with this."

Kelsey paused slightly and then bowed her head slightly. "Okay!"

I nodded. "Thank you!"

"You don't have to thank me. It's what I should do!" She responded seriously.

I knew that she was thanking me for helping her with Calvin, but my heart was still gratuitous towards

her.

I looked at Ian, shifting my body towards him. It hurt so much that I felt like pain was just washing

ashore at every part of my body. "Ian, when can I leave the hospital?"

"The doctor suggested that you stay here and recuperate for a few more days!" He informed me.

Seeing that I wanted to get up, he helped me up and added, "It's going to be the New Year soon.

Arianna, promise me that we'll put everything aside for now. Let's have a good time together during the

New Year, okay?"

I nodded and chuckled, "Okay, but I have to return to Jarold City first. I still have work to do there. Once

I'm done, I'll come back to Ucrebury and celebrate the New Year with you and the child."

He frowned slightly and asked, "Can't it wait until after the New Year?"

I shook my head. "Ian, I might have to go back there tonight. I've recognized Uncle Charles from the

Reid family as my godfather. I will be added into the family registry tomorrow night, so I have to go

back."

"The Reid family? Charles Reid?"

I nodded. "Yep!"

He frowned. "Is it because of Aaron?"

"Yep!"

He pursed his lips and did not speak for a long time.

After a while, he looked at me and said, "I'll wait for you in Ucrebury to come back and celebrate the

New Year with us then."

"Alright!" After a pause, I looked at him and asked, "The child... have you chosen a name?"

He shook his head. "I was waiting for you to choose one. Monique mentioned to let the child adopt your

surname, so that... The child would be closer to you!"

My heart wrenched, and I felt a dull pain between my eyebrows. I opened my mouth, feeling extremely

upset. "Is it a boy or a girl?"

"A girl!"

"Then let's call her 'Moanna'. You can come up with a nickname for her!"

Ian paused for a moment before he realized, "Moanna. That's a combination of you and Monique's

names."

I nodded, and my eyes were a little teary. "The sunshine and warmth that Monique and I never had, I

will give it all to her!"

He nodded and said after thinking to himself for a while, "Then her nickname shall be 'Anne', what do

you think?"novelbin

"It's not bad. It's popular yet novel. It has a nicer ring to it than some weird nickname like 'Sugar Bun' or

'Lollipop'," Sawyer chimed in, clearly approving of the name.
