Chapter 442

I was surprised at how in- sync these men were and couldn't help laughing. Then, I handed the

prescription to Hendrix and said, "The doctor said to drink more warm water."

"What?" Aaron was puzzled. "Dr. Dormer really said that?"

I nodded. Tilting my head, I looked at him and said, "He said I'm not sick. So, you guys won't keep

making me see a doctor, right?"

Aaron frowned. "Who..." As he spoke, Hendrix glanced at him with a dark look on his face, effectively

cutting Aaron off. He then looked at me and said, "Uncle Charles invited you to come with me to visit

the Reid family next week. We'll have a meal together and get to know the Reid family."

I was stunned to hear this, but after thinking for a while, I ended up nodding, and yawned. Then, I

looked at Aaron and said, "I didn't sleep well last night. I'm heading home first!"

He was about to say something, but when he saw that I was sleepy, he stopped and nodded, "Go

home and rest early then."

He glared at Hendrix and said sarcastically, "Aren't you tired, Mr. Roberts?"

Hendrix curled his lips, "My body has always been strong!"

In a fit of anger, Aaron left.

As soon as he did, Hendrix narrowed his eyes slightly as he looked at me and said, "What about the

prescription?"

I pursed my lips, held the prescription tightly in my hand, and said nonchalantly, "There's no

prescription, the doctor just said to drink more warm water."

"Arianna!" He said, his voice slightly raised.

I was annoyed, so I didn't say anything more to him. I walked straight out of the hospital and got in the

car.

He followed after me, but he was not in a hurry. Instead, he looked at me and said, "I'll treat you to

dinner at the Nandoes Restaurant. Would you like to?"

I subconsciously wanted to refuse, but after a pause, I looked at him and said, "What are you treating

me for?"

He started the car, "Because of what we talked about on the phone the other day."

Well, this was a surprise. Was he was going to apologize to me?

Some said that when you were with a man, you could figure out whether he loved you or not by seeing

how his friends treated you.

After pondering for a bit, I looked at him and nodded, "Okay!"novelbin

When Hendrix brought me to Nandoes Restaurant, it was still rather early for dinner, so I asked, "Don't

you think it's a little too early?"

He hummed in reply and said, "We can eat early, so you can go home and rest after dinner."

I...

Meanwhile, in the private room.

Seeing the three people sitting inside, I couldn't help but laugh. I looked back at Hendrix and said

sarcastically, "So, this was a Trojan horse?"

Hendrix frowned, then squinted at Austin. "What's going on?"

Austin quickly stood up and explained bashfully, "Hendrix, Andrea was constantly in the hospital before

and she hasn't been out in a long time. She's just here to hang out. I'm sorry that I didn't tell you in

advance, but I promise that nothing will happen."

Josiah sipped on his tea lightly as if he had nothing to do with the matter.

Hendrix calmly glanced at Andrea, who was sitting at the dining table looking pathetic as ever. He

looked at me with his dark eyes and asked, "Do you still want to eat?"

Austin looked at me apologetically and said, "Arianna, I'm sorry, I..."

"When did I become deadwood here?" Andrea said pridefully, an attempt to mask the tinge of sadness

on her pretty face. "Since my presence is redundant here, I won't be a bother anymore."

After that, she stood up, picked up her bag and got ready to leave.

Austin looked at me, his face starting to grow red from embarrassment and said, "Arianna, I'm sorry, I'll

go see her off!"

"It's alright. We've all agreed to eat together. Since we're all here, let's have a good meal then!" I said

as I looked at Andrea, our very own award- winning actress. "Miss Burton, you don't mind eating

together, do you?"
