Chapter 437

Hendrix's expression grew darker and colder to the point of being downright frightening.

"There's no need to be jealous, Mr. Reid. At the very least, you won't be able to touch what I'm holding

in my arms for the rest of your life. Compared to your wishful thinking, I'm being much more practical!"

This person had nothing good to say. After ending the call, Hendrix raised his hand to stroke the hair

behind my ear. There was no sign of anger on his face, and he only said, "I'll take you to the hospital

tomorrow."

I pursed my lips. I felt a little tired, so I closed my eyes and got ready to sleep.

That night, I slept well.

I woke up the next day.

Hendrix was in the bedroom, and he had already gotten changed. His slender body was sitting on a

chaise lounge as he used the laptop. I didn't know if he was doing work, or going through other

documents.

Seeing that I was awake, he put down the laptop, got up and walked over to me. He bent over to kiss

my forehead and asked, "Are you going to sleep in for a bit?"

I frowned, "What's the matter?"

He raised his eyebrows and said, "We agreed yesterday that we're going to see the doctor today."

"I'm not going!" Although Irvin was gone, I was still an employee of the Granger Group. The Fantasianovelbin

Company was a project that I brought in, so there was no reason to give up halfway.

He frowned and gave me a tight hug. He pecked me lightly on the lips as he hugged me in his arms.

"Get up and go wash up first."

I had gotten a rare night of good sleep, and my mind was quite clear. I left his embrace, got out of bed,

and went straight into the bathroom.

While brushing my teeth, I vaguely heard someone knocking on the bedroom door. I assumed that it

was Minnie who had come up to call me down for breakfast.

After washing up and exiting the bathroom, I saw Andrea and Hendrix in each other's embrace. It

seemed like something had happened to Andrea, and she was crying a river.

I was incredibly confused.

At this moment, they looked just like a couple who were very intimate with each other. I couldn't help

but purse my lips while seeing this. I wasn't in a hurry to do anything else, so I just stayed where I was

with my arms crossed as I watched closely what they would do next

Hendrix didn't look too good. Since his back was facing me, he didn't see me coming out. He pushed

Andrea away and scolded her coldly, "You've been in the Moore family for at least half a year. The

wealth and power of the Moore family should have made you elegant and reserved. Why have you

become so self-indulgent instead?"

Andrea, after being shoved away by Hendrix, saw that I had already emerged from the bathroom. Her

beautiful eyes narrowed slightly as she looked at Hendrix.

Tears welled up in her eyes, "Hendrix, you've always known how much I love you. You promised to take

care of me, not out of responsibility, but because you fell in love with me. You aren't able to let Arianna

go now because of your responsibilities and debt to her, and not because you love her, right?"

I raised my eyebrows. Tsk, tsk. Was she trying to make Hendrix say something that would hurt me?

Hendrix's voice was tinged with cool indifference as he said, "This has nothing to do with you. Don't

come here again."

"You won't give me a straight answer because you don't love Arianna at all, do you?" Andrea looked at

him. She went on, saying, "On the night of my birthday, you knew it was her birthday too, but you still

chose to come to the Moore family because I was more important than her, right?"

That seemed to have irritated Hendrix. He raised his voice as he warned, "That's enough!"

Andrea wasn't afraid, even in the face of death. She continued, "If you had gone to celebrate Arianna's

birthday that night, my mother wouldn't have had the chance to do anything to her. To put it bluntly, you

let her go out alone the day before she went into labor because you didn't love her. In the end, you

gave my mother an opening to do what she did to her. My mother was the mastermind behind that

child's death, and you're an accomplice too."
