Chapter 1630

Hendrix was true to his word and dismissed all the bodyguards in the afternoon. Minnie and the other servants quickly returned to their original positions, and the villa was restored to normal.

At the end of April, I officially took my first bar examination.

I was pregnant for two months, and my belly had started showing. But because of the cold weather, I put on a coat when I went out, so it was not obvious. Hendrix was afraid that the people in the examination room would be rash, so he walked me to the examination room until he was stopped outside by the examiner. Only then, he left reluctantly to wait outside.

I hadn't taken a test for years. Being in my seat, looking at my ID and the stationary, I took a deep breath and let myself relax.

"Hello." Suddenly, there was a gentle male voice beside me. I turned my face and saw a young man standing next to me with a bright smile. Our eyes met, and he nodded at me with a polite, friendly attitude.

"Are you talking to me?" I pointed at myself and pursed my lips.

"Yeah." The man had a smile on his face, and had good manners. There was some distance between us, so I did not feel awkward. He said, "You seem to have taken my seat."

The smile froze on my face, and my face instantly turned red. "Isn't this seat 021?"

We stared down at the label pasted at the corner of the table. I realized I had mistaken the number 7 printed as 1!

I quickly picked up my things and got up from the seat to make room for him. "Sorry, I read it wrong. Please have your seat."

The man smiled and was not in a hurry. He raised his hand and pointed to the seat labelled 021 next to him. "It's okay. Seat 021 is here."

I couldn't tell the difference between 1 and 7. I had embarrassed myself in front of a foreigner.

Biting down, I made up my mind to pretend that nothing had happened just now. I walked toward my seat firmly. As soon as I sat down, the man spoke again.

"I'm Zoel Parker. We'll be in the same batch in the future. Nice to meet you."novelbin

Although I didn't want to be a government servant, I still felt a sense of patriotism for my country. In order to maintain a friendship with the citizens of Koland, I forced a smile and responded to him.Content belongs to NovelDrama.Org

"Arianna Reid, nice to meet you. Your English is awesome."

In such an awkward situation, I even worried that I would have forgotten all those rules and clauses during the exam. I really couldn't come up with better compliments.

Zoel politely shook hands with me and turned around. He sat straight, waiting for the exam to begin.

Soon, the examiner cleared up the examination room and distributed the papers after they examined every one.

As soon as the exam room was opened, Hendrix was the first to come in and came to my desk. "How was the exam?"

I raised my chin proudly. "It was great, it shouldn't be a problem."

Hendrix smiled and raised his hand to pat my head. Just as he was about to put his hand down, a voice came from the side.

"Arianna," Zoel called my name. He stepped forward next to Hendrix and handed me a business card. "Let's exchange our contacts. We're going to be in the same batch, so let's keep in touch." Content belongs to NovelDrama.Org

He placed the card directly on my desk. He didn't give me a chance to refuse. I watched helplessly as Hendrix's face darkened. I replied awkwardly, "Sorry, I didn't bring my business card. Maybe next time."Content belongs to NovelDrama.Org
