Chapter 1610

After staring at me for a while, Hendrix suddenly smiled and said helplessly, "Of course you can. It'sjust that I'm not used to it."

He changed into a more comfortable position and held me in his arms, explaining with a goodtemper, "Mesville is fully controlled by GW Group, and even people in Jarold City are afraid of them, but Denmiles is not. GW Group is indeed powerful, but they still haven't got a hold of that country. This is also one of the reasons why I chose Eisen Company."

I nodded. It was not hard to understand. As long as we avoided Mesville, Roberts Group would notbe affected by the GW Group no matter what we were developing.

But I didn't know how to respond to Hendrix's explanation. I kept pursuing my lips and didn't answer.I didn't even hear Hendrix making fun of me. Eventually, I gave myself away with this reaction.

Hendrix pinched my shoulders and sat face to face with me. He looked over with his deep eyesbefore he narrowed his eyes and asked, "Tell me, what exactly are you hiding from me?"

I overestimated myself for trying to hide my emotions in front of such a shrewd man. I asked for it.

I pursed my lips and took a glance at Hendrix. I then looked at the side door behind him and said,"Come out."

When Hendrix turned his head, Irvin had already walked into the living room. Their eyes met, andthe atmosphere in the living room instantly tensed. When the two of them met each other, arguments would always be inevitable.

I was worried that the situation would get out of control, so I grabbed Hendrix's arm and said, "Irvinis here to ask for our help. GW Group has kidnapped Shirley and Dannie. He hopes that we cankeep in touch with Sean and see if we can get any information from him."

After Hendrix heard about it, he turned to look at me with his gloomy eyes. I was immediatelyshocked and withdrew my hand.

He was worried about my relationship with Irvin. It was understandable that he lost control of hisemotions when he saw that we were together once he returned.

But I didn't expect Hendrix to be so unreasonable the moment he spoke.novelbin

"Evan!" Hendrix called Evan in.

"Mr. Roberts, what can I do for you?" Evan stood by the door and bent his upper body respectfully.

"Replace all the bodyguards outside. No one is allowed to stay!" Hendrix's voiced as he gritted histeeth with an undeniable momentum. Evan immediately retreated.

After a moment, I understood why Hendrix did that.

Before he left, he had ordered that no men were not allowed in the house, and yet Irvin was not onlythere, but no one had mentioned a thing to him. He felt that no one took him seriously. Hendrix wasa man who was used to controlling everything, so how could he tolerate those bodyguards who hadkept everything from him?

It seemed that I had let those bodyguards down. But Hendrix was so furious at that moment. I couldonly find another time to persuade him. The most important thing at the moment was Irvin's matter.

After Hendrix finished speaking, he looked at the opposite side with a straight face. The atmospherearound him was frightening. At that time, no one could calm him down.

Irvin probably did not want to make things difficult for me, so he stepped forward and sat down onthe couch next to him. He put himself in a humbling position and appealed to Hendrix.

He said, "Don't blame Arianna. I begged her to do this. I owe Shirley and the child too much overthe years. I can't stand by and watch them getting into trouble. Hendrix, I gave up Arianna for you. Now, I'm asking you to do me a favor, and help me obtain some information about my wife andchild. Are you not willing to?"
