Chapter 1541

I shrugged at the way she was comforting herself. I couldn't help but want to laugh at this sight. Iwas not sure how long she could continue fooling herself.

After a long sigh, I uttered, "Well, I don't think there's anything left for us to say anymore. If you areso certain that he loves you, then let's meet up tonight. If he doesn't love you, then you can see itfor yourself and not lie to yourself anymore. You should be able to choose how you want to live yourlife."

I didn't know how else to persuade her anymore, so I gave up on her.

After a long while, she seemed to realize that it was useless to keep begging like this, thus she alsogave up. However, she kept emphasizing that Sebastian was truly in love with her.

I didn't answer.

After she left, Tobias sat on the sofa and stared at me with a meaningful look. He squinted at meand said, "I'm a little curious. How did you know that Sebastian hasn't slept with her? And how doyou know that Sebastian is not physically capable of doing so unless you experienced it yourself?"

I pursed my lips and rolled my eyes at him. "Nonsense. What are you thinking about? We had aconversation about it in the past. There's only so much that women can talk to each other about. Ifwe don't talk about this, what else are we supposed to chat about?"

He answered with a long "oh" and continued, "Then do my former girlfriends discuss this behind myback too? If that's the case, that's too exciting. What could they possibly talk about? Perhaps theyalways discuss how good I am in bed."novelbin

I...

This man was so shameless.

I didn't want to talk to him anymore. I took out my phone and was about to call Hendrix, but myphone had no reception at all. I frowned and looked at Tobias.

He was puzzled and asked, "Why are you staring at me?"

I held out my phone towards him. "Is there no reception here?"

He nodded. "Isn't this normal? He is imprisoning you here. Do you think he will let you have thechance to call Hendrix and let him save you?"

I was speechless. "Since you already knew this since the start, why didn't you think of an escapeplan?" This guy was probably a fool.

He shrugged. "What difference will it make? If my calculations are correct, Mr. Milton is going tosend over some food in a moment. This villa is a few hundred square meters wide, and there arefree delicacies for us. I don't think I could find anywhere else as luxurious as here, so why should Ithink of an escape plan?"

Tobias... was quite optimistic.

Alright.

I switched off the phone, sat down beside him, and said, "Tobias, can you not act like a ruffian? Weare now being detained against our will. Do you understand what that means? Can you not justdrool over temporary pleasures and try to think of an escape plan instead?"

He snorted and glanced at me. "How do we escape? Why should we escape? It's quite nice here."

I was stupefied. I looked at him and said, "Forget it, do whatever you want!"

Sure enough, just as Tobias had predicted, Sebastian soon sent someone along with our dinner.Tobias, like an idiot, scampered around the table in excitement and even struck up a conversationwith Hodge. Hodge entertained him politely but soon left the room in silence.

Seeing Tobias indulging in his meal, I was at a loss for words. I didn't bother persuading himanymore. Since I didn't have much of an appetite, I stood by the window and glanced outside. Thisvilla was way too huge, and the walls were built really high up. Sebastian would've had a handful ofbodyguards surrounding this place. It was quite impossible for us to escape.
