I was stupefied for a moment and frowned. "Sebastian, what do you mean? Are you trying toimprison me?"
He shook his head and answered like a ruffian, "No, of course not. How can I possibly imprisonyou? I just want you to stay here for a few days. No one has lived in this villa since I renovated it. It'sno longer live here, so I just wanted you to stay here and liven up the place."
As he said this, he reached out and pressed the bell by the chair. After a moment, someone cameup. It was a middle-aged man. Sebastian looked at the man and said, "Hodge, I have to trouble youto look after my friends for the next few days."

I stopped him. "Sebastian, you're breaking the law. Let us go."

I ordered again, "Take me there. Since Sebastian wants me to stay here, it's impossible for him toconfine me in a room."
Hodge was slightly startled. He nodded in agreement.
The layout on the third floor was different from that of the first and second floors. The third floor waslocked with an iron padlock. I couldn't help frowning. "Where are my friends? Are all of them lockedin here?"
Hodge smiled and said, "Of course not, Miss Reid, your friends are on the fourth floor. Miss Reid,don't worry. This floor is solely used for Mr. Milton's pets. Back then, his pets would just roamaround freely and it startled people, so Mr. Milton decided to lock them up."
I nodded and asked, "Are they all snakes? Or are there other things in there?"
Hodge smiled lightly. "Master Sebastian likes to collect exotic animals, so he has a ton of differentspecies as his pets. He has been rearing them for quite some time now. Are you interested in atour?"
I pursed my lips. I didn't know what the inside was like, and thus I kept my mouth shut. If it was likea zoo, then it was still fine. But if his pets were not confined and they all roamed around freely, thenit would be too dangerous.
After giving it some thought, I replied, "No thanks. Hodge, take me to the fourth floor!"
He nodded, smiled, and brought me up to the fourth floor. This villa was shockingly huge, and theinterior design resembled those of 19th-century European architecture. It was luxurious but cold.novelbin

We arrived at the fourth floor.
