Chapter 1471

Noticing that he was narrowing his gaze, I smiled faintly and asked, "What are you thinking about?"

He motioned at me to look at Yana.

After Yana walked down the aisle, she had to touch some oranges as a symbol of good luck. Thiswas part of the local wedding tradition. I glanced back at him. "Is there any difference between thelocal wedding rituals in Ucrebury and Jarold City?"

"Yes." He nodded.

I wanted to ask more, but it was time for me to get the umbrella ready. This was another localwedding ritual here in Jarold City. The bridesmaid had to shelter the bride with an umbrella as shewalked down the aisle.

After another series of rituals, I held Yana's hand as we walked through the main entrance. Ethan'shouse was a traditional house in the southern region. White walls surrounded the entire estate, while an amazing garden filled with trees and flowers surrounded the house. The yard was huge, and the wedding arch was located right at the center of it.

A red carpet had been laid out between the seats to welcome the bride to the family. Upon reachingthe arch, I handed Yana over to Ethan as I put away the umbrella.

Yana leaned closer to me and whispered, "Arianna, I think I left my phone inside the car. Can youhelp me get it before the car leaves?"

I nodded and walked out of the venue. Fortunately the car was still there. I found her phone in thebackseat. Just as I was about to head back into the venue, I spotted a familiar Bentley parkednearby.

Aaron!

Although I was not surprised to see him lurking around, I was still startled.

His flashy and expensive car simply stood out too much. I approached the car and tapped on thewindow. It didn't take long for him to wind down the window.

I hadn't seen Aaron in a while, and he somehow looked thinner, with heavy dark circles under hiseyes.novelbin

"Aren't you coming in?" I asked as I stared at his pale face.

He shook his head and pursed his lips. He then asked, "Does he love her?"

I shrugged and looked at him. "They are a perfect match. Also, Uncle Charles is here. I saw himwith Carney earlier. Why don't you head in with me? You're part of her family too."

He looked terrible as he stared at Ethan's house. His mind seemed to be elsewhere as he said, "Nothanks. She looks beautiful today. Just help me pass a message to her. I know my words don'tmean much to her now, but I still have to congratulate her on her wedding. I wish her happiness andall the best in their future. I let her slip away, but if...

I cut him off before he could continue. "Even if there is a next life, I don't think she'd want to meetyou again. She suffered too much and no one would want to go through that again. Aaron, you haveto let go, no matter how much you regret this. You're my brother. I want to see you happy more thananyone else does. If you wish to settle down, please start treating your other half better. And becareful in selecting your future mate.

Eunice's family background has nothing to do with her being a good match for you or not. If yourefuse to listen to me, you can always ask Uncle Charles for his opinion and advice. He is mucholder and experienced than both of us. He would know what to say. Think carefully, Aaron."

After I finished speaking, I left with Yana's phone in hand. I had to rush back to join the celebratorytoast.

Back in the venue, I handed Yana her phone. Hendrix approached me and asked, "Did you run intosomeone?"

I nodded. "Aaron's outside."
