I pursed my lips, feeling a little aching sensation on my head. "Naomi, perhaps Sebastian is not theright guy for you after all," I said. "You deserve better."

There was a long pause. After Naomi collected herself, she said, "Arianna, did you find outsomething about Sebastian? Is he seeing another girl? Is that why you're saying such things?"

In retrospect, I realized that I did not quite put things right. Momentarily, my mind went blank. "No, Iwas just telling you not to overly invest in this relationship," I said. "Don't dwell too much on it. I'm alittle busy these days. When I'm free, let's meet up with Wendy for dinner. By the way, how’s Wendydoing?"

Naomi was truly a straightforward person. Immediately after my explanation, she stopped wallowingand replied, "Well, she's fine. But I think she's a little odd. She likes standing by the window to enjoythe cool breeze. And she doesn't talk much. She talks gibberish at times as if she is unwell. I don'tthink she has what it takes to be a businesswoman. I mean, nobody likes dealing with someonewho's so strange. It may seem ominous."

"I accidentally saw her taking a shower yesterday,” she continued. "There's a long scar on the leftside of her chest. Perhaps she has been injured before? I didn't dare to ask her since I'm notparticularly close to her. Are you close to her though? I don't really know her well, so I was a bitscared."

I frowned slightly. "She's actually alright... She got depression over an incident involving her dad.From what you said, I reckon she should still be able to control her emotions. Have a chat with herand try comforting her when you have time."

"What?" Naomi was surprised. "She has depression, huh? Why didn’t I know? By the way, how doyou know about her depression? How long have you known her?"

I patted my forehead in exasperation. How inquisitive could Naomi be? One moment she wasdevastated by Sebastian, the next she turned nosy and probed deep into Wendy's personal life.novelbin

I could explain so much to her within such a short span of time. So I said, T ve met her once inAsherton. Hence, I know a little about her personal life. You’ re right, she' s not cut out forentrepreneurship. But because of her father, she is determined to run a business. Anyway, don'tworry too much about it. Just spend more time with her when you' re free. And don't be bothered bySebastian. You know he'll call you if he wants to see you. Otherwise, there's nothing much you cando."

After ending the call, I wanted to go to the hospital. But I realized Hendrix had not had lunch. Thus, Iwalked around the food street in the city center and bought some of his favorite snacks.

Since Josiah's bone marrow did not match, the next best solution was to head over to Asherton assoon as possible. I was not sure if the name card given by Sebastian would help. Anyway, I had togive it a shot.
