Chapter 1350

He looked at me quietly as if he was contemplating something. After a while, he said, "I'm glad! When we were twenty years old, I felt that love could last long. I didn't care if you were an orphan orthe daughter of the Moore Family. For me, everything was great as long as it was you. But now, Idon't think so. I love you because you were my first love and also my wife. I'm glad for your familybackground and your upbringing. If it weren't for these, we would have endless obstacles to face. Itis because of your background that we can take care of each other for the rest of our lives and notworry about anything else. At the same time, we can be the couple envied by many others. That'swhy I'm confident that we can face the future together."

If one's first love was impulsive and full of chemistry, then marriage was a couple facing the smallthings in life together. Some couples were in a mess, always arguing over life matters; while somecouples respected and supported each other.

Hendrix and I belonged to the latter category. I never felt that respecting your spouse was aderogatory term. Respecting each other was the greatest sincerity in marriage.

Lying in his arms, I smiled, "Hendrix, please take care of me in the future."

He smiled gently, "Same to you, Mrs. Roberts."

After coming out of the hospital, Hendrix and I went to the company. He ran back and forth everyday because he had to take care of both the company's affairs and Anne's illness.

I got out of the car and waited for him in the building lobby while he went to park his car.

Perhaps because it was lunchtime, people were bustling about, coming in and out of the building. Ared sports car was parked at the entrance and looked particularly dazzling, which attracted a lot ofattention.

I glanced at the person who got out of the car. It was Rowane, who I hadn't seen for a long time. Ithought she was still in Asherton, but she was back.

Such a beauty paired with a luxury car was very eye- catching. The man sitting in the car wasdressed casually. He seemed to be a rich man from one of the noble families in Jarold City.

Rowane's clothes were especially sexy. She wore a black skirt and knee- high boots thataccentuated her long legs. She was wearing an expensive- looking white mink jacket, lookingextraordinarily charming.

It seemed like she had just returned from having lunch with that man. After she got off the car, shewalked to the driver's seat and kissed the man on the lips without hesitation. She then walked intothe building gracefully, like a swan.

I was a little shocked. It seemed that Rowane had found a suitable boyfriend.

Although we were not enemies, I did not want to meet her. She moved the crocodile-skin bag on herwrist to the crook of her arm, looked at me with her eyebrows raised and said, "Are you here to visitMr. Roberts? He's not in."novelbin

I nodded, "We just got back!"

She shrugged and said, "I heard about your daughter. You must have been very busy recently."

I didn't deny it. I just nodded, with no intention to continue this conversation.

Seeing this, she raised her eyebrows and said, "To be honest, you don't have to be so defensive.Let me spill the truth, if we weren't rivals, I would've admired you. That guy you saw just now is myboyfriend. I will introduce him to you someday. Don't be so hostile to me. Your husband may not likeme, but there are still plenty of other fish in the sea for me."

I was a little surprised, but I didn't say much. She didn't care about my cold attitude. She simplysaid, "Come here often in the future. Don't be so hostile to me. It's not necessary for women to trasheach other. Don't you think so?"
