Chapter 1348

Andrea was stunned when she met his gaze. She couldn't believe her ears. She asked again forconfirmation, "What do you mean?"

Austin frowned, "I said, leave Jarold City. Pack up your things and go back to Ucrebury."

For a moment, Andrea's face was pale as if she had suffered a great blow. She looked at Hendrixand said in a choked voice, "Hendrix, do you not care about me anymore?"

Hendrix hugged me tightly. His gaze was solemn, "Fifteen years. I promised your brother back thenbecause you weren't an adult yet. Now that you are, your affairs have nothing to do with me."

I was surprised that Hendrix would let her go. I looked at him in a daze. He noticed me staring athim and rested his hand gently on my belly. His hand felt warm.

All of a sudden, Andrea burst into a sorrowful laugh, "So it's all fake. It's all fake! Promise? Love? They're all fake. All of you are fake!"

I frowned. I had no way of understanding Andrea's principles. In my opinion, Casper might havehanded her over to Hendrix and his friends. But after more than ten years now, they started buildingtheir own families and moving on with their lives. All these years, they had given her everything theycould. From my perspective, Hendrix and the others had done enough.

However, I don't understand why Andrea took these for granted. She was so selfish that she eventhought that they would take care of her for the rest of their lives. Not even siblings were obligatedto take care of each other, much less these people who were not related to her at all.

Perhaps, Andrea was just being selfish!

I pulled Hendrix into the ward and didn't see Josiah. I was a little worried, "How's the examination?Where's Josiah?"

He guided me to a seat quietly, "You're pregnant. No matter what happens in the future, you shouldthink about your child and think about me. Okay?"novelbin

My mind went blank for a moment. It was only when I saw his pale face that I realized what hemeant. Andrea's sudden appearance had frightened him. I laughed, "I was ready to dodge just now.I wouldn't put the child and myself in danger. Andrea won't dare to hurt us!"

He sighed helplessly, "Even so, this should never happen again. Many things are out of our control."

I nodded and asked, "How's Josiah?"

He sighed slightly and said, "You're so impatient.

He just finished the examination. It'll take some time for the result to come out. Maybe a day ortwo."

I was a little anxious, "But Anne's condition can't risk being delayed for another day. As for thekidney transplant, have you found a suitable donor?"

When it came to this, he was a little depressed, but it was just for a moment. He comforted me, "It'sall right. Believe me, I will find a suitable one!"

I knew that he had been searching high and low recently, but I was worried about Anne's illness. She had already gone through chemotherapy several times, but the aftermath was not ideal, andevery treatment was torture for her. Now, I didn't even have the courage to see her. I always felt thather being sick in the first place had everything to do with me.
