Chapter 1344

I shook my head, "I haven't bought anything for you recently. This watch is too cheap, it doesn't suityou."

He took off his watch and was going to throw it away, but I stopped him. I took the watch to have alook. It was an affordable luxury brand from Europe. It looked casual, but didn't seem right forHendrix.

I tilted my head to one side and raised an eyebrow, "Mr. Roberts, do you have a secret admirer?"

He said with a smile, "Mrs. Roberts, are you jealous?"

I shrugged and chuckled, "My husband is too charming. It's normal for people to like you. But thistime, it's different. This gift was sent in my name and it's not too expensive. This woman must besmart."

He raised his eyebrows as he drove the car, "What do you mean?"

"According to your daily habits, if she wants to gift you something, she will buy something expensiveand luxurious for you. However, she gave you a relatively affordable one. This girl must have asalary of four to five thousand. Therefore, it's most

likely someone around you."

He nodded, "Continue!"

I looked at the watch and made a rough estimate that it cost about 3,000 dollars. It seemed that thisgirl had put a lot of effort into choosing it.

"No, I'm just curious. Why would you think that I'm the one who sent this item? Who gave you ahint? Or did someone pull some strings?" Under normal circumstances, I would have given him the

gift directly. There was no need for me to ask others to give it in my stead. Furthermore, Hendrixand I were not romantic people in nature.

"It was on my desk after I came out from the meeting. The handwriting is very similar to yours, so Ithought it was you." He said while frowning slightly, as if deep in thought.

I raised my eyebrows and said, "Then it must be someone from your company. How bold." Whoeverit was known that he was married, yet still tried to pine after him.

I tried to put the watch back onto his wrist, but he dodged it, "Huh?"

I smiled and said, "She gave it to you. Don't let her down."

He pursed his lips, "Are you jealous?"

I shook my head, "That's not it. You didn't even fall for a beauty like Rowane. I don't think you'reinterested in other women. I trust you. Besides, I have too many things on my mind, this is nothing."

He snatched the watch and threw it into the trash can on the roadside without taking one last look. Iwas in awe, "Wow. Good move, Mr. Roberts."

He smiled faintly, "Thank you for your compliment!"

Even though it was temporarily resolved for now, it still mattered. But now, there were moreimportant things to do. It was unnecessary to quarrel about these trivial things at this time.

I didn't know if I was sleepy because I was pregnant. After Hendrix and I returned to the villa, Iwashed up and fell asleep on the bed.

The next day, if Hendrix hadn't woken me up, I would have continued to sleep. After waking up, I satin bed for a long time, deep in thought. Hendrix came out of the bathroom and looked at me, "What

are you thinking about? Go get ready. We're bringing Josiah to do a bone marrow matching. Wehave to go now."

I nodded and answered. But I was still tired, so I laid on the bed and muttered, "I don't rememberfeeling this sleepy when I was pregnant before. I'm not experiencing any morning sickness either. How strange."novelbin
