Chapter 1274

I had planned to open it and have a look, but after a long period of time searching for it, I discoveredthat amidst the rush to get to Oakland, I had left the diary in another bag at home.novelbin

I had no choice but to give up at this point!

Sebastian was not involved in the affairs of Lancille Village, so the process of resolving was smoothand easy. However, because of what happened to the Milton Group, the collaboration betweenRoberts Group and Milton Group could not continue. The conference had been delayed for too long.At this point, it was more challenging for the Roberts Group to earn a profit now.

Nevertheless, Rowane had put so much effort into all of this, so she was clearly displeased that herhard work had gone to waste. After discussing with Hendrix, Hendrix agreed to find a new businesspartner in Asherton.

Other than that, my job in Milton Group had come to an end as well. As Hendrix wanted to find anew business partner, we decided to continue staying in Asherton. In regards to Naomi, Tobiascalled me and mentioned that she almost got into trouble in the hotel, so he took her to his villa.

This was good news for sure.

In the next few days, Hendrix and Rowane were busy holding meetings to discuss the prospects ofthe new partner. I tried to find ways to contact Westin in Asherton, but since he did not leave me acontact number, it was particularly difficult for me to track him down.

What came as a surprise to me was Dahlia getting in touch with me, requesting to meet. She toldme that she had something to discuss with me. However, I was not willing to see her. After all, I feltthat I had nothing to talk to her about.

Nevertheless, she seemed to be determined to meet me. She even went so far as to bring up theincident in Myanway. She insisted on meeting up with me. As she was so persistent, I eventuallyagreed.

We decided to meet at a cafe. Asherton was beginning to get cold in November. She wore anorange overcoat, which was fashionable and elegant. However, because of her obese figure andthe green turtleneck sweater she had on, her neck looked shorter. From a distance, it looked as ifher head was placed in the middle of her shoulder, like a fat neckless monster.

I sat down in front of her and she looked at me. Probably because she had stayed up late for a longtime, her face looked a little greasy. Her thick makeup was a little messy as well.

"What do you want to drink?" she asked, staring at me. It seemed that she was eyeing my makeup.

I opened my mouth and replied, "Whatever!"

She nodded and spoke after a moment of silence, "Long time no see, you seem to be getting moreand more beautiful."

I was startled for a second. It was rare to hear such praises from her mouth, which made me feelflattered. I looked at her and went straight to the point, "What do you want to say?"

She shrugged her shoulders and didn't talk about it directly. She just looked at me and replied,"Let's have a drink first. After all, we are friends. You don't have to treat me as your enemy. I have toadmit that Hendrix is a very attractive man, but I would never match up to him. So, I wouldn't dare toinsult you just because of him. It's not worth it!"

I looked at her and wondered what she had up her sleeve.

After a moment of silence, I said, "Just tell me, what do you want me to do? I will try my best, if Ican, to help you."

She continued to stare at me, but still did not hurry to say anything. Instead, she placed the juiceserved by the waiter in front of me. She smiled faintly and said, "Drink something first. I don't thinkthere is a need for us to behave like enemies."

I couldn't figure out her plan, so I just took a sip of juice. Probably because she touched the glass, Icaught the faint whiff of lavender from the juice. I heard from Rainie that Dahlia had set up a chapelat home. She liked to light scented candles while reading the Bible and praying at home.
