Chapter 1196

I replied, "Mom, we won't be making it back tonight. I’m at Hendrix' s place, so I'll have to troubleyou to help me take care of Anne. I believe it' s due to the change of season and the fluctuatingtemperature. She tends to catch a cold every time the season changes. It's nothing serious."

Perhaps it was because she was born prematurely, Anne will get sick every time the seasonchanges. Fortunately, she will always recover in a few days.

Valerie nodded and said, "I thought iso too but she has been having recurrent fevers for a whilenow. Her fever will subside after taking some medication but it will come back again in a few days. The doctor has been to see her several times and prescribed her medicine. Arianna, are you freetomorrow? Why don't you take her to the hospital? I'm a little worried."novelbin

I agreed, "Okay, then I will go there early tomorrow and take her to the hospital." It's normal forchildren to have a fever, but her recurrent fevers were making the two elderly ones a little worried.

After a brief chat, I hung up the phone.

Hendrix seemed to have fallen asleep. After washing up, I came out of the bathroom, preparing towipe his hands and feet before I go to bed. Unexpectedly, he suddenly opened his eyes, took myhand and said very seriously, 'Arianna, let's have a child together."

I couldn't react. My heart involuntarily ached at his request. I looked at him hopelessly. I told myselfthat he was completely drunk, which was why he was saying such things.

After that shocking request, he closed his eyes again and went back to sleep.

I sat by the bed and couldn't come back to my senses for a long time. When Freya asked me if Iwas satisfied with just Anne, I actually wanted to tell her that I wanted a child that belonged toHendrix and me. However, there is no way for me to achieve that, so I chose to keep silent.

I originally thought that Hendrix had already forgotten about this matter, but I didn't expect that hewould say that he wanted a child when he was drunk. Yes, this was a lifetime matter. How could henot want his own child?

After a long silence, I tidied up and laid down beside Hendrix. Then I asked in a slightly hoarsevoice, "Hendrix, do we really need to have a child?"

He didn't respond beyond a twitch of his

eyelashes.

He drank a little too much, after all.

The next morning, morning sunlight penetrated through the yellowed leaves and fell on the groundwhile the mottled shadows of the trees swayed on the ground. I was awakened by Hendrix.

When I opened my eyes, I saw him lying beside me with a smile on the corner of his mouth.

I lazed in bed for a moment before I said, "You're awake!" My voice was a little hoarse.

He nodded and continued smiling. "Yes!"

I couldn't help but remember what happened last night, "Do you still have a headache?"

He shook his head and moved closer to me. Then, he asked in a slightly hoarse voice, "Did youtake my clothes off?"

I couldn't keep up with his thoughts. I nodded and asked, "What's wrong?"

Following his gaze, I unconsciously looked over. He was only wearing a pair of light blue boxers atthis moment.

An unusual feeling rose up between us.

I involuntarily blushed, and quickly said, "Don't think too much. Nothing happened between us. Ididn't do anything to you. You..."

"Let's do it now?" He raised his eyebrows and looked at me with a pair of dark bottomless eyes.

My heart skipped a beat. Before I could react, he had maneuvered himself over me, pressing downon me fully, and wrapped his wide hands around my waist...
