Chapter 1179

It was a familiar face. We were not close, but I knew who she was.

It was Dahlia. She picked up her ticket, glanced around as if trying to hide from someone andhurriedly went to the International boarding gates.

She was going abroad? Where to?

I didn't know her very well, so I did not want to pry into her affairs. Seeing her leave, I didn't stay anylonger. I took my plane ticket and went towards my gate.

Somehow, I had recently had a habit of doing some reading before boarding. It was a good hobbyafter all.

After a four-hour flight, it was late when I arrived at Jarold City. As I got off the flight, I switched onmy phone. There were still no messages from Hendrix, and I felt quite distressed.

It was eight o'clock in the evening and I wasn't sure if Anne was asleep already. After a moment'sthought, I decided against calling her and took a taxi to the hotel directly, planning to see her onlythe next morning.

When I arrived at the hotel, I went to the front desk to check-in. The receptionist was a little slow. She was speaking on the phone while checking in for me, and from time to time, she cast me anapologetic glance.

I wasn't in a hurry anyway. So, I looked at her with a gentle smile and didn't urge her.

After she hung up, she looked at me and said apologetically, "Sorry, miss. We are fully booked, wecan't check-in for you!"

I was stunned and asked, "It's only eight o'clock and all the rooms are full?"

She nodded and explained kindly, "It's because of the upcoming National Day holidays. Recently,we have had a few tour groups checked in. And so, other guests would have to book rooms inadvance... So sorry about that."

I understood. It would be the National Day parade soon, and Jarold City was heavily populatedanyway. Therefore, most of the hotels must be overcrowded.

Well, it seemed that I would be turned away at other hotels anyway. So, after a moment'spondering, I called Freya. Luckily, she answered immediately, "So you've finally decided to call me. Ithought you were gone for good!"

I smiled and said, "There is something I need tonovelbin

help me with."

She said frankly, "Sure, what is it? I'd never say no!"

I chuckled at her response and said, "I am now in Jarold City. The hotels are all full. I might need tostay at your house for a few days!"

"F*ck!" She swore, "Arianna, you're being too polite. I'm treating you like family, but you're treatingme like a stranger! I'm so flabbergasted. Where are you? I'll come to pick you up. My family homehas so many vacant rooms. Instead of going to a hotel, you should have called me immediately!"

I immediately sent her my location.

Fortunately, there wasn't much traffic on the road, and Freya arrived quite soon.

She drove a red Lexus sports car, which was flashy and domineering. She stopped at the entranceof the hotel and it attracted a lot of attention. She lowered the window and called out to me, "Heygorgeous, get in the car!"

Her hooligan- like behaviour made me chuckle. Then, I looked at my suitcase and said, "Can this fitin the car?"

She curled her lips and said, "F*ck, such a big suitcase? Are you carrying a dead body?"

After a pause, she said, "I'll ask Zachary to come over to get it. Let's go home first!" Then, shepolitely spoke to the hotel doorman, passed him some money, and thanked him.

In the car, she looked at me and frowned, "Hey, where have you been all this while? Why did youleave so suddenly? Did something happen between you and Hendrix?"
