Chapter 1133

As she saw many things she liked, she accumulated a whole of of things and stuffed all the goodiesinto Hendrix's hands. Suddenly she said, "Hendrix, wait for me, I'll be back soon!"

She then ran away like a childish little girl. This lively side of her was rare, but to Hendrix didn'tseem surprised.

I couldn't help but feel a little uncomfortable.

Hendrix looked back at me. He frowned slightly and asked, "What's wrong?"

I shook my head and looked at the bags in his hand. "It's not heavy, is it?" I asked.

He smiled and looked behind him. A man in a black suit came out of nowhere and took the bagsfrom his hands.

I was stunned for a moment, and then realized that his bodyguards have been trialing us. After whathappened last time, he seemed to have arranged for someone to be around me. I had an inkling buthad never paid much attention to it.

After the bodyguards took the things, they disappeared back into the crowd.novelbin

Andrea hadn't returned yet. I looked at him and said casually, "Aren't you going to find MissBurton?"

He smiled faintly and looked at me with his deep gaze. "Don't worry, there is someone following her.I'm sorry. I was going to take you out for a walk, but Austin is not here. If Andrea was alone in thehotel, she would probably be bored. We will go by ourselves, alone, next time, okay?"

I puckered my lips and agreed. I wasn't that enthusiastic, but I felt let down. Since when did he startto talk about Andrea so intimately?

It seemed that he had gradually started to regard Andrea as the sister that he needed to take careof!

He suddenly pinched my cheek, and I winced at the slight hurt. I looked up and our eyes met. Hewhispered, "Arianna, as long as she doesn't do anything out of line, treat her like your own sister. Isthat okay? We don't have to live with resentment, okay?"

I frowned with displeasure at what he said. I looked up into his eyes and spoke, "So I gave off theimpression that I'm bitter and resentful?"

In other words, I'm just a spiteful woman?

When he heard my question, he frowned, the smile on his face fading a little. "Arianna, you knowthat's not what I meant!"

The people on the street were coming and going, and the noise level started to get to me. Icompressed my lips and stopped talking.

He realized that he'd approached this all wrong and reached out to hold my hand. But I avoidedhim.

"Hendrix, look at this. I used to like playing this game with my brother. I didn't expect I could buy thishere. I thought I wouldn't be able to find it anymore." Andrea was holding some yo-yos in her handsas she shouted with joy, her face was glowing with happiness.

Hendrix took a yo-yo from her hand and handed it to me. "Do you want to try?"

I said lightly, "No, I'm good!" At this time, I was no longer in the mood to play.

Seeing my uneasiness, he didn't insist. Instead, he looked at Andrea and said, "Don't injureyourself!" Then he continued to move forward.

I'd said that the architecture of Lancille Village was very beautiful, with the smell of the river minglingwith the various delicious scents from the food stalls. After dinner at night, we could stroll on thepath and enjoy both scenery and bustling crowds while savouring all the delicious foods.

As dazzling as the sights, sounds and smells were, how much enjoyment one got from theexperience still depended on one's mood. For example, at that time, I was not as happy as I waswhen I visited with Naomi. Instead, my heart was heavy, full of grievances.
