We met Naomi and Sebastian were waiting. Seeing us, Naomi walked up to me and held my hand."I knew you were in the hotel, so I suggested that we wait for you here."
"What's wrong? You could've just called me."
She clicked her tongue and said, "It's not a big deal. Plus, didn't your Mr. Roberts, just fly in a fewhours ago? The leats we could do was let you guys rest."
"Is there anything I can help you with?"
She nodded. "Yes, but it's not a personal matter. It's the company. I'm going to have a free mealtonight!"
Linda came in with a big bag of things. She looked at us and said with a smile, "Since everyone'shere, let's go to the restaurant."
Sebastian looked at Hendrix and said, "Mr. Roberts, the preliminary work on the base has beencompleted. I know it's a sudden invitation, but let's eat together tonight. Is that alright?"
Hendrix smiled lightly and said, "You have to ask my wife about this. I promised her Koreanbarbecue this evening."
Naomi and Linda both cringed, maybe because they were sick of it.
Sebastian looked at me and said, "Mrs. Roberts, our menu tonight happens to be Korean barbecuetoo. Would you like to join us?"novelbin
Naomi held on to my arms, and gave it a slight shake. "Let's go together. The more the merrier!"
I nodded in agreement and replied, "Sure. The more the merrier!"
If Hendrix and I were to go alone, Andrea would've probably come along too. Who would've beenthe third wheel then?
Joining Naomi and the others was a good idea.
Because there were so many of us, Linda booked a private room. She put the bag onto the tableand then began to distribute what she'd brought with Naomi's help.
"I found this when I went shopping that day. It tasted good. Have a try!" Naomi said as she put a cupof milk tea in front of us.
In the end, Linda found we were short of one cup of milk tea. She said awkwardly, "I'm sorry. I didn'texpect that Mr. Roberts' friend would come, so I didn't buy enough."
"It's okay, it's okay. I don't drink milk tea very often. Don't worry about me!" Andrea said with a smile,feeling a little awkward.
Hendrix placed his cup in front of her and said, "Have mine!"
His movements were so natural that they seemed almost intimate. Naomi and Linda blinked at thatthen looked at me. The unspoken question in their eyes asking me about the relationship betweenHendrix and Andrea.
I smiled blandly and didn't say anything. I lowered my head and drank the milk tea. It was too sweetto my liking.
"Wow, it's so sweet. Hendrix, do you want to try? It's really good!" After taking a sip, Andrea lookedat Hendrix in delight, then handed the milk tea in her hand to Hendrix.
"I forgot, I should buy green tea today. Milk tea is too sweet, green tea is just right!" Naomi looked atLinda and spoke with hostility.
Linda pursed her lips and said with a faint smile, "It's so sweet that I am sick of it!" The conversationbetween them was so ambiguous Andrea just smiled, and did not react to it.
