Chapter 1127
I tilted my head to look behind Hendrix and saw an old friend. Andrea had probably just gotten offthe plane, as she was still wearing a windbreaker. When she got out, she took it off, showing off herkiller body shape.
Hendrix looked back and said to me, "Wait for me, we'll go to eat Korean barbecue later!"
I pursed my lips and suppressed the unhappiness in my heart. "Okay!"
What was she doing here? I frowned at the sight of her huge luggage. It looked like she wasmoving.
Hendrix called over a porter to assist with the luggages then got Andrea a room. After that, hehanded her the keys and told her to head up to settle in.
After finishing all that, Hendrix looked at me and held me in his arms. "What do you want to eatfirst?"
"Why did you bring her here?" I asked, frowning.
He smiled and said gently, "She's here with Austin. He had something to do, so he asked me tobring her here first."
I nodded, and was not in the mood for food anymore. So I said, "You must be tired after flying. Goback to the hotel and rest for a few hours. We'll talk later!"
He raised his eyebrows and said, "Alright, let's eat after that then. Where's the room card?"
Since we were standing at the entrance, if I refused to give it to him, he might do somethingembarrassing again. With that in mind, I handed him the key. "Get some sleep. When I am donewith work, I'll look for you!"
He nodded. As I looked into his eyes I noticed the telltale signs of fatigue in the dark circles aroundhis eyes.
As I watched him leave, Rowane, who up to that point had remained silent, started sneering,"Arianna, you're really generous. Hendrix has brought Andrea to his side and you didn't even flinch.Looks like you've gotten used to it."
I seethed and didn't want to hear any more of her sarcastic remarks. I said lightly, "They're justfriends. If I am not able to accept these things, Miss Zanes, do you think I'm worthy of beingHendrix's wife?"
She burst into laughter. "That's great. There are rumors about Mr. Roberts and Miss Burton gracingthe headlines in Jarold City. One's the chairman of the Roberts Group, and the other's the daughterof the Moore Family. These two people were clearly born to be a pair. Don't you feel ashamed to becaught between them, Arianna?"
I looked at her indifferently and suppressed my anger. "Miss Zanes, if you want to gossip, howabout we find a coffee shop and chat?"
Seeing that her words were not enough to unsettle me, she felt disappointed and said sarcastically,"How can you be so confident? Andrea is still the woman he lets slip away. Who do you think youare?"
"What about you?" I jeered, "Who do you think you are? You're not even a player in this game?"
Her face suddenly turned red, and I said lightly, "Miss Zanes, it's important to know where youstand. It's okay to fancy people, but when someone already has a wife and children, you shouldkeep yourself in check."
