Chapter 1043

He pursed his lips. He spoke softly, his voice husky. "She has been throwing tantrums, wanting tosee you. After all, she is still a child. She misses you. Being apart from her mother for so long mustbe difficult!"

I didn't say anything. I lowered my head and felt a little guilty. I absentmindedly fidgeted. I pausedand asked, "When will she be here?"

It was almost September, and the semester was about to start. Even if she came over, she wouldnot be able to stay for a few days before she had to return to school.

Hendrix looked at me with a sideways glance, his gaze dark. "You're not planning to return to JaroldCity to see her?"

I bit my lip, "The Milton Group project may take a month to be completed. My sickness has delayedtasks. I am afraid going back to Jarold City will set the project even more!"

He frowned and didn't say anything.

The awkward topic seemed to have come to an end.novelbin

Fortunately, my fever did not cause any lasting harm. Shortly after, I was discharged from thehospital.

I originally wanted to go to Lancille Village to continue working, but Sebastian ordered me to stay inhis villa for a few days and asked Linda to go in my stead.

But I felt uneasy. After all, it was my job and I had the responsibility to see it through to completion.

To keep me occupied, Sebastian brought over all the relevant documents and asked me to sortthem out.

When Naomi arrived, I was still sorting through the pile of documents in the study room.

She stood outside in the yard and shouted, "Arianna, open the door. Didn't you hear me?"

Her voice was so loud that it sounded like a trumpet. People who didn't know her would think thatshe was here to quarrel.

I ran to the balcony and saw her standing next to her black Cayenne. She said with her hands onher hips, "Arianna, come down and open the door for me!"

I found it funny. I leaned against the balcony and said, "You're here to fight?"

She snorted and took a suitcase out from the trunk. She grinned at me and said, "I'm here to spoilyou!"

I was surprised, "Are you moving in?"

She nodded. "Yes, both my man and my woman need my help now. I can't just sit by and watch."

This woman just heard about my stay at the villa and immediately came here!

Leaning against the balcony, I said, "The door doesn't have a key. It's encrypted by password andfingerprint. You can enter the password number 12345."

She twitched her mouth and said, "Really? 12345?"

I nodded, touched my nose, and said, "The password used to be actually more complicated I hadtrouble remembering it."

She opened the door and nodded. "Right, with your brain, it's good enough for you to remember thispassword. If it's too complicated, you won't be able open the door."

I...

It seemed like I was just insulted.

I went downstairs and opened the front door for her as she dragged her suitcase in. "You have togive me a room!"

There were five rooms in the villa. On the first floor, there were a guest room and a room for thenanny. On the second floor, I had one of the rooms, Sebastian the other. The last one was empty.

I took her to the second floor and settled her in the unoccupied room.

"The lighting here is not bad, but there is no balcony outside. What a pity!" She said and was readyto arrange her clothes.

I offered. "There is a big balcony in my room. Would you like to swap rooms?"

She shook her head. "No, this room is closer to Sebastian. It'll be easier for me to get close to him!"

What?

Helplessly, I smiled and said, "Are you two together now?"

She stopped in the middle of unpacking. Looking at me fully, she said seriously, "I have a veryimportant question to ask you."
