Shock speared through me. When had Rowane and Nerissa become close?

But then it's been awhile since I left Jarold City. It was only these things happened. I shouldn't dwellon it.

Hugo lowered his voice and whispered. "I heard that Mr. Roberts is married, but I never knew whohis wife was. Could it be Miss Zanes?"

I lowered my head to eat and forced out, "I'm not sure!"

Hugo continued talking, not noticing my discomfort. "Miss Zanes is cold and heartless to others, butshe's rather taken with Mr. Roberts. She's also quite nice to the elderly. She's quite a good matchfor him."

I didn't reply and ate listlessly.

Ziglar must have also misunderstood their relationship, as he was repeatedly giving them advice onhow to get along with each other.novelbin

Hendrix pursed his lips and looked at me with cold eyes. When he saw that I was just looking at himindifferently, he returned the favor. As if I was allowing Ziglar to continue misunderstanding.

Rowane was extremely happy about the situation. She followed Ziglar cue and proudly agreed withthem.

I got up and went to the washroom. On my out, I couldn't help I got distracted by the open- airedswimming pool.

Afternoons in August certainly attracted plenty of people. There were children floating on thesurface of the shallow water area with swimming rings around their arms.

There were not many people in the deeper waters. Only a few adults males. It seemed that theywere free during this afternoon, so they went swimming to relax.

I sat down in the shade. There was no need to return too soon. Ziglar was probably too preoccupiedwith Rowane and Hendrix to notice me missing from the table. I figured it would be better to take abreak here.

There was a couple sitting by the pool, both of them in their swimsuits. They seemed quite shy,likely in the honeymoon stage, and this is probably their first time seeing each other without clothingon.

They were wrapped in bath towels and were sat by the pool. The girl was saying to the boy, "I can'tswim!"

The boy grinned in reply. "I can. I will teach you!"

Then he threw his bath towel aside and went into the water first. The swimming pool was one and ahalf meters deep and the boy was tall. So the pool water merely reached his chest.

The girl was not yet brave enough. She clutched her towel tighter and said shyly, "Why don't you goahead for a swim first? I'll call you when I feel braver."

The boy nodded. In front of his beloved girlfriend, he showed off his skill. Swimming several laps.

I smiled at the scene. Relationships among the youngsters really stood out as they innocently meteach other, giving each other their sincere affections.

The purest form of love.

"What happened? Was the scene inside too much for you to handle, so you had to hide here inmisery?" Rowane Zanes spoke from behind me. And of course, with the appearance of such

beauty, those at the pool turned in attention.

Looking away from her, I chuckled, "Why would I hide here in misery?"

She sat down beside me, crossing her long legs, attracting even more attention. "Master Attwoodthinks that Hendrix and I are married. Don't you feel a little sad?"

I raised my eyebrows at her and smirked. "You're wrong. Whatever the relationship between meand Hendrix, it's our business. In fact, I don't care about who is in a relationship with him. So, youdon't have to tell me so many useless things."
