Chapter 94

Chapter 94

“Grandpa! Liam’s got some nerve! He’s demanding that our whole Stone family roll out the redcarpet, go to Celena, and beg her to return to the Stone family!” Cheryl fumed. She paused, stealinga glance at Reginald. Noticing his face turning stormy, she quickly lowered her voice, saying, “Andhe wants me… to apologize to Celena and that little kid, and he even said… he even said…”

“What else? Out with it!” Reginald was fuming, his eyes blazing with anger as he slammed his caneonto the blue floor with a resounding thud! novelbin

Cheryl jumped, a shiver running down her spine, but a surge of glee bubbled within her. She keptup her outraged facade, whispering, “He said you, Grandpa, should personally go and ask…”

Boom!

That was the last straw. The Stone family’s members in the hall went off like a bomb! They bellowedwith fury.

“Are you kidding me? Our family’s elder is supposed to go and ask himself?”

“Liam stepped out of line, just a washed-up soldier, a nobody. He has the gall to ask our family’shead to go and ask in person. No way, Grandpa. We can’t let this slide!”

“Absolutely not! We can’t give in to such a demand. What does he think the Stone family is? That’sjust not done!”

“No way! We can’t agree to this! What about Celena? She wasn’t there, was she? She’s supposedto be one of us, a Stone, and now she’s taking sides with outsiders and ignoring her owngrandfather? She’s nothing but trouble. Good riddance that we kicked her out when we

did!”

The room was filled with people seething with anger for Celena and

Liam.

Crash!

“That’s enough! What is this ruckus? We’re the Stones, not some street market!”

Reginald’s hand came down hard on the table, his voice thundering through the room. He thenturned to Yafe and Sherah, took a moment to think, and then ordered, “You’re the head of the familynow, and Celena is your daughter. You deal with this.”

Yafe’s face tensed up, clearly unhappy about it, but he had no choice but to agree. “Fine.”

Sherah, who was sitting nearby, quickly spoke up, her face twisted with reluctance. “That won’t do!Liam said he wants all of us there, even Reginald himself! If we’re the only ones who show up, Liamwon’t be satisfied!”

“Sherah, what are you suggesting? That dad should personally go beg Celena to come back? If hedoes that, the Stone family will be everyone’s laughingstock! Besides, Celena should be thankful thwe’re opening our doors to her again. Does she really expect Dad t come to her with the wholefamily in tow?”

Walter watched Sherah’s rejection with a scoff, but his mind was racing. Celena was a true-borndaughter of the main branch of the family. If they refused to step up, would the responsibility fall to

them? The opposition was clearly aiming to embarrass the Stone family, and he had no intention ofwalking into that trap.

His wife, Teresa Foster, chimed in quickly, “Sherah, you’re not understanding this. Celena is yourown flesh and blood, your very own child. It makes perfect sense for you to handle this. If Celena’sbeing

asonable, shouldn’t you fix it? Why should Reginald have to get

involved?”
