Chapter 275

It was clear as day who among Liam and Trevyn was better.

Everyone burst out laughing as soon as they heard Liam's remark. They were filled with contempt.novelbin

"You're killing me! Did you just call the Hughes family and General Trevyn puny? How dare you lookdown on them? You're just a loser who was discharged from the army in dejection because youcouldn't survive in the military region."

"Who do you think the Hughes family is? They are a big and powerful family in Roselle City. Also,Trevyn is the future general. Our mayor, Malcolm, is also a general. Do you think you, a dischargedsoldier, can fight against the Hughes family?"

"Fuck, is there something wrong with Liam's head? Does he think he can always rely on Malcolm'sspecial treatment? Does he think Malcolm would help him fight against General Trevyn and theHughes family?"

"Come on. What are you thinking? Do you think that's possible? Would someone offend the futuregeneral and the Hughes family for a small fry like him? They are not even related. Only a crazyperson would do that."

The way the Stones looked at Liam got more and more disgusted, and they felt incredibly resentful.Once they thought about the loss they suffered after the contracts were terminated, theydesperately wanted to kill Liam, the culprit.

Besides, not only was Liam not remorseful, but he was telling lies at a critical time like that.

He said he would take care of the issue with the Hughes family himself. He was living off theStones, so how was he supposed to resolve it?

Cheryl's face was contorted because of anger. She had her arms crossed in front of her chest andher head held high. With her face covered in disdain, she said, "Hmph. Liam, by the sound of it,Trevyn, the future general, is just an insignificant person to you. I have a question. What's yourcurrent rank, Liam? Are you a general? Are you the commander-in-chief?"

Seeing that Liam did not answer, Cheryl got more and more enthusiastic. She gloated andcontinued, "Oh, you're not answering? Looks like you're none of that. Are you the commander-in-chief of a military region, then? You're not, are you? Oh! I know! You're the legendary commander-in-chief of the Pendragon Warriors. You're King Pendragon, aren't you? Hahaha. You're killing me.Liam, you do crack me up!"

Cheryl could not help but burst out laughing after she was done asking Liam.

"Cheryl, stop kidding. Him? The King Pendragon? He's just a loser. If he is the legendarycommander-in-chief of the Pendragon Warriors, I'll apologize and beg him for forgiveness on myknees now." Sherah laughed hysterically. Her face was full of disdain.

The crowd kept humiliating and cursing at Liam. Jovie could not stand it anymore. With her faceflushed, she looked at them fiercely and bellowed, "All you are bad people! You're the evil guys! Mydad is not like how you describe him to be. He's the most powerful person. He bought a mall forJovie yesterday. He even made them apologize to me!"

Jovie scrunched her fierce yet adorable face and stuck her tongue out at Cheryl. She said, "Hmph! You bad woman! You witch! You stinky woman! You're the most evil! You're not allowed to bully myparents!"

In Jovie's eyes, the Stones were all evil. She did not like them. She did not want to addressReginald as her great-grandpa because he was always bullying Celena.

However, Celena always asked her to address Reginald properly. Therefore, Jovie did as she wastold because she did not want Celena to be upset, but she was incredibly reluctant.
