Chapter 272

Reginald listened to everyone's argument on the chair, looking more and more upset and ready toburst out in anger at any minute.

Cheryl quickly stood up and walked next to Reginald. She poured a cup of tea for him, "Grandpa, have some tea to soothe your nerves. If you ask me, this was all that loser Liam's fault. If it was notfor him, there was no way we would offend the Hughes family, and I wouldn't have—"

At the mention of that infamous engagement party, Cheryl's face went pale, and she felt reallyupset. If Liam did not mess it up, she might have married into the Hughes family and become a richhousewife with a general as a brother-in-law. That would have been not such a great honor. Shewould have been able to do whatever she wanted in Drunham City.

"Grandpa, our family is a victim as well! And this time round it was Trevyn who personallyintervened. He's a general! You know that Malcolm is a general, too. How could we have the powerto go against him?"

With that, Cheryl wiped the invisible tear from the corner of her eye as she continued, "If you askme, Grandpa, I think Trevyn is not unreasonable. It's definitely because we are still related to Liamand Celena now that he is taking his anger out on us!novelbin

"So, we need to get rid of Liam, Celena, and her daughter from our family as soon as possible. Weneed to make a public announcement to everyone in Drunham City that the three of them hadnothing to do with the Stone family. Otherwise, we will be ruined by them!"

Cheryl shot a look at Sherah and Yafe. Once her eyes met Yafe's, he immediately got the hint.

"Dad, I think what Cheryl said is right. All of us in this family are the victims in this matter. Cherylwas badly wronged! Besides, we have no other options. It's only if we banish and cut ties with Liamand Celena that we can save ourselves!" Yafe echoed.

"That's right, Cheryl is the biggest victim here! If it were not for Liam back then, Cheryl would nothave become the joke of the town!" Sherah also followed up unhappily.

Sherah hated Liam with a burning passion. If it were not for him, her daughter would have beenmarried into the Hughes family, and she would be related to Trevyn. The thought of being related toa general was enough to make her mighty.

Most importantly, this was a great opportunity to banish Liam and Celena from the Stone familyagain. Then, the collaboration project with the Max group would once again fall into their hands.

As for the grudges with the Hughes family, the Stones were victims as well. The main culprit wasLiam. When they fully cut ties with him, they could give the Hughes family some benefits andapologize to them. Then, the Hughes family would not go so far as to destroy the Stones.

The rest of the Stone family members also started to agree after they heard what Celena and Yafesaid. Suddenly, everyone was suggesting that Reginald banish Liam and Celena from the Stonefamily as soon as possible.

The living room was once again rowdy. Reginald was listening to the noises all around him, feelingirritated and looking more and more upset.

Finally, he slammed his walking stick on the ground and shouted, "Enough! Is there no more orderin this household? You are all making so much noise. Are there no more rules? Once Celena andLiam arrive, I will come to a decision."

It was not like Reginald did not think about this issue, but he had other plans. After all, they still didnot know the relationship between Malcolm and Liam.

Malcolm's identity was too complicated. Not only was he the mayor of Drunham City, but he wasalso the person in charge of the garrison of Drunham City. The military and the government were

always separated, but it was an exception when it came to him. This was enough to show howcomplicated his background was.
