Chapter 254

Liam's expression was getting more and more sullen. There was a frosty glint that gleamed in hiseyes. It looked like Barbie was not going to stop until she got a dose of reality.

Liam no longer wanted to waste time with her. He just said in a cold voice, "Citron Entertainment, isit? You're only arrogant because you have your agency that you're proud of. Let's see how long youcan stay cocky once the agency is gone. I don't care who your financial backers are, you have toapologize on your knees to my daughter today!"

Liam was just finished when Barbie laughed arrogantly as if hearing the funniest joke in the world. She said disdainfully, "Do you think you're invincible just because you have some money? Thereare countless people far richer than you and more powerful than you! Money is not the only thingmy agency has!"

Barbie was full of pride while she was speaking. But she was full of disdain when she glancedtoward Liam from the corner of her eye.

"That reminds me, yes, there are lots of rich and powerful people in the world. But, to be richer andmore powerful than I am, I've not come across many of those," said Liam, looking at Barbieindifferently.

What he said made Barbie burst out laughing again. Her eyes were filled with contempt.

"Now, I'm interested to know just how powerful you are to dare be so boastful!"

Liam looked toward Edward, who was standing beside him. Before he could open his mouth,Edward was already looking troubled. He was shaking his head and sighing resignedly.

Edward said, "Mr. Cole, there's nothing I can do about this. Barbie was invited to the grand openingceremony. Her agency is Citron Entertainment. Their headquarters are in the capital. Also, I heard

that Citron Entertainment was founded by an important young man from a prominent family. It's nowvalued at over a billion dollars in the market.

"Most importantly, the finance of Citron Entertainment is all backed by a few big families from thecapital, there's too much at stake behind it all. The current few shareholders of the group are allimportant and powerful people."

Edward did not go on. Just that alone, especially the fact that it was from the capital, was enough toshow just how powerful Citron Entertainment was.

How could the families who own ordinary businesses from elsewhere even compare with bigfamilies from the capital?

Even though Liam was the boss behind Kolten, Kolten was merely the richest man in Drunham City.People like Kolten could be found anywhere in the whole of Biskeland, so he could never competewith those prominent families from the capital who were around for generations.

Compared to Citron Entertainment, who had strong backing from the capital, he was nothing but asmall fry and was not worth mentioning at all.novelbin

How could Liam possibly fight against Citron Entertainment, then?

Edward already decided that Liam was not going to win and was just putting on a face, so he wastrying to give Liam a way out.

After all, to go head-to-head with Citron Entertainment over something so trivial.

Edward was still wrecking his brain to give Liam a way out when Liam pulled out his phone onceagain and called Calum.

"Tell our men at the capital to send a notice to Citron Entertainment. It's either I acquire CitronEntertainment, or they terminate their contract with Barbie immediately and get her to apologize onall online platforms. If they're unwilling to comply, blacklist them instantly! Who dares to attempt tostop this will be thoroughly investigated and punished, no matter who!"

"Yes, sir!"

Once Calum got the call, he immediately called the liaison department of the capital.

After Liam hung up, he put his phone away calmly and looked down at Jovie. The frosty expressionon his face instantly softened.
