Chapter 201

Liam saw how his wife had to wake up early to take the bus every morning, and he felt sorry. Helong planned to buy a car for Celena. It was just that too many things happened lately, so the plankept getting postponed.

When Liam carried Jovie into the big Mercedes-Benz showroom of the car dealership, the eightsaleswomen were standing in a circle, chatting with each other. None of them noticed Liam.

Liam did not either. He simply looked around with Jovie in his arms, and he took a fancy to a car. Itwould cost more than a hundred thousand dollars, which was not considered expensive.

He walked around the car to take a look and was very happy with it. Just as he was about to openthe door to give it a try, he suddenly heard a disdainful voice.

"What are you doing? Who let you in? This is a very expensive car. How could you just try it as youwish? Can you afford to pay if you damage it?"

Then, a young woman in a black uniform and heels walked over in an alluring manner. Her tonewas filled with contempt.

Liam turned around while holding Jovie's hand. He frowned and asked, "Am I not allowed to go for atest drive?"

"Hmph! You? A test drive?"

The young woman looked at Liam with a mocking gaze. Then, she pointed her finger at Liam andsaid in a scornful tone, "Can you afford to buy a car? This is Mercedes-Benz. Do you know howmuch this car cost? It's more than a hundred thousand dollars! Can you even afford it?"

Upon saying that, the woman surveyed Liam and Jovie with a frosty gaze. She saw that they werenot dressed like the rich, so she formed a judgment in her mind.

"It's just a few hundred thousand dollars. I'll buy it after I try it," said Liam.

"Hahaha! Did I hear that right? You want to buy it? You look so poor and shabby, yet you want tobuy a Mercedes-Benz? Sir, have you seen yourself in a mirror? And you're with your child. Aren'tyou afraid you'll be a bad example to her? But children brought up by people like you won't have agood upbringing anyway."

After the saleswoman saw that Liam looked calm, her tone got more harsh as she continued, "I'veseen my fair share of people like you who would come and check out the cars at the dealershipwhen you can't afford it.

"The sight of people like you just annoys me. You can't afford it, yet you're taking up my time. Hurryup and get out of here. The dealership across from here has cheap cars. That's where people likeyou should go."

Upon saying that, she waved her hands at Liam and shooed him away.novelbin

Liam's expression immediately darkened. He was very upset.

The other saleswomen were standing at the side, watching as the drama unfolded. They looked atLiam with a mocking expression and echoed, "I hate people like him the most. He's dressed like apoor, shabby person, yet he came to a dealership for luxury cars to have a viewing."

"I agree. I saw him as soon as he entered. His clothes are incredibly cheap. I didn't even bothertalking to him. I thought he would leave after he was done window shopping. I didn't expect that hewould have the guts to ask for a test drive. Look at how filthy he looked. Can he even afford to pay ifhe dirtied the car?"

"You already pointed out that his clothes are cheap. How could he afford to pay? If I were him, Iwould have some self-knowledge. I wouldn't come to a place like this to embarrass myself."

The saleswoman was happy when she heard the others mocking Liam. She sneered and barked,"You heard that? This is not a place for you. Hurry up and get out here!"

Jovie was so terrified by the fierce woman that her face became as white as a sheet. Jovie huggedLiam's legs tightly. She felt aggrieved as she said, "Dad, I'm scared. Let's hurry up and go. This ladyis so fierce."

Liam picked Jovie up, feeling sorry for her. He rubbed Jovie's head and said, "Don't be afraid,Jovie."
