Chapter 175

Reginald had not even reached the conference room door when a cascade of footsteps announcedtheir arrival. Five chairmen with the presence of titans strode in, their assistants in tow.novelbin

Their entrance charged the room with a palpable tension.

Those were the big shots of the Drunham City decor materials scene, and they had the mightyJerden Group at their backs. Their power was unmatched.

"Mr. Zimmer, Mr. Wells, Mr. Sabine, Mr. Quier, Mr. Ford, what brings you to our doorstep sounexpectedly? We're caught off guard and couldn't prepare a proper welcome. Please, forgive us,"Reginald said, his smile betraying his nerves as a sheen of sweat glistened on his brow.

The Stone family's top brass and relatives lined up on either side, each wearing a sycophantic grin.

At the forefront was Mr. Zimmer, the big shot of Zimmerman Group and the kingpin of DrunhamCity's renovation materials market, a man with deep pockets. He cast a detached glance atReginald and cut to the chase. "Mr. Stone, let's skip the small talk. We're here to inquire aboutsomeone in the Stone family. Do you have a Celena?"

Reginald blinked in surprise, and confusion spread across the faces of the Stone family and theexecutives.

They looked from Mr. Zimmer and his entourage to Celena, who seemed lost in the corner.

The heavy hitters were there for Celena, who looked like she was in hot water. "Celena, snap out ofit! They're calling for you!" Cheryl, assuming the bigwigs were there to give Celena a piece of theirmind, could not hide her glee as she called out, her eyes alight with the thrill of the spectacle.

Jolted by Cheryl's voice, Celena, in a daze, nervously made her way out from the crowd, her faceashen with fright.

As Celena stepped up, Mr. Zimmer quickly moved forward, bowed, and with a deferential air. Heaccepted a document from his assistant and presented it with both hands, saying earnestly, "Ms.Stone, here's the contract Zimmerman Group has drawn up with you. Please take a look. We'll getyou any materials you need! If everything's in order, you can sign off on it right here."

"Ms. Stone, over here, I represent the Wellington Group. Take a look at our contract, if you would..."

"Ms. Stone, this one's from Sabine Group..."

"Ms. Stone, this is the joint contract from Quilla and Fonda Groups. Please give it a once-over. Ifeverything checks out, we'd be thrilled to have your signature. Then, we're officially partners!"

The crowd in the room could not believe their eyes as they saw the decorating material mogulselbowing their way to get Celena's attention, each desperate to ink a deal with her as if their livesdepended on it.

It was like something out of a fantasy!

Celena, who had been worried she might have crossed some bigwigs who were then out forrevenge, was stunned to find them all eager to sign deals with her. She was utterly bewildered andoverwhelmed.

She had never imagined that Drunham City's elite suppliers would all come knocking, contracts inhand, ready to do business without so much as a preliminary chat!
