Chapter 153

The item in the velvet box was a gold Medal of Honor!

Seeing that Liam accepted it, Lieutenant Andrews had an even bigger smile on his face. He finallyaccomplished the mission given to him by his superior.

He then looked kindly toward Celena and said, "Ms. Stone, do you have anything else you need meto take care of for you right now?"

Celena was stunned for a while. She took a glance at Reginald in fear and shook her head.

"Lieutenant Andrews, thank you for your kindness. It's just that what they say is also true. I'm indeedlacking in skill, so would it be possible for my sister to also participate in this project?" Celena askedafter some thought.

This was originally a good intention on Celena's part. However, to Cheryl's ears, this only soundedlike Celena was humiliating her. It was as if the projects that she wanted were all bestowed uponher by Celena, and this made her uncomfortable.

She was going to scold Celena out of instinct, but she immediately saw Lieutenant Andrews whenshe raised her head; so she did not dare to act rashly.

Lieutenant Andrews frowned and said, "I have no objections. Since you are the person in charge ofthis project, you may allow whoever to participate as you wish!"

Hearing this, Yafe and Sherah were both relieved. At least their daughter could continue to be a partof this collaboration and the benefits their family would sow would not lessen.

Lieutenant Andrews glared at the Stone family coldly, gave a salute to Liam, and left the Stonemansion along with his men.

It was not until the soldiers were far away that the Stone family breathed a sigh of relief, and theylooked at Liam fearfully.

This loser was always so lucky. He had Lieutenant Andrews come to his rescue time and again. Was he just a simple soldier who was discharged?

Reginald stared at the box in Liam's hands. He could not hold back his curiosity and asked, "Liam! What's the relationship between you and Mr. Lynch? To have a medal from the military."

Reginald was not alone as everyone there was curious about the relationship between Liam and Mr.Lynch. They also wanted to know about his connection with the Drunham City military. Everyonelooked curiously at Liam and waited for his explanation.

Liam did not plan to explain, but he saw from the corner of his eye that Celena was also looking athim curiously waiting for his reply.

That was why he said calmly, "Nothing much. It was only that because I fought for my country, sothis was to honor that. As for Mr. Lynch, I was in Mr. Lynch's platoon before, and I retired from itafter he was sent to Drunham City.

When he finished, he grabbed Celena and left straight away.

The rest of the Stone family was still looking upset at the sight of how Liam marched to the beat ofhis drum. However, deep down, they were honestly relieved.

They thought how powerful Liam was. By the looks of it, it was all because he was previously inMalcolm's platoon, and he was feeling nostalgic.

They would like to see how many more times Liam could use this favor from Malcolm.

After everyone left, Cheryl resumed her unruly and stubborn demeanor. She stomped her footfiercely and whined while holding her injured face, "Hmph! I don't need that bitch Celena's charity!"

On the other hand, Reginald was looking sullen. He glared at Cheryl coldly. If not for Cheryl trying toget the project from Celena, would they become such a joke in front of those outsiders?

His expression hardened and snorted. "What an incompetent person! If you're so good, then howcome you didn't land the project? Since Celena is allowing it, then you better behave and worktogether with her. In the meantime, you'd better watch Celena closely for me. Nothing of the Stonefamily belongs to Liam. And if you find anything suspicious, you report it to me immediately!"novelbin
