Chapter 88

“Brad, how could you think that of me?” Liliane only rubbed his shoulders a few times before moving tosit on the nearby single sofa. “I’m just worried about Felix’s health. He just underwent a bone marrowtransplant, and I’m afraid something might happen in a busy wedding.”

Bradley was extremely indifferent as he said, “The doctor said Felix’s recovering well. Your concernsare unnecessary.”novelbin

“It’s just that I’m scared.” Liliane covered her chest, still feeling a lingering fear. “Felix’s been sick. for somany years, and I’m truly… afraid.”

“We can postpone the wedding until Felix fully recovers and can participate.” Bradley thought that sinceFelix wanted to attend the wedding, he must fulfill Felix’s wish.

Liliane felt somewhat frustrated but dared not show it. She pretended to be unaware and asked, ” Brad, the wedding planning company needs our marriage certificate. When do you think it’s convenient for usto get it?”

“After the company’s legal department resolves my marital status with Esther. Then we can go get thecertificate,” he replied.

Liliane could not help but feel elated. “Brad, I’ll be waiting for your good news.”

Once she and Bradley obtained the certificate, Felix would lose his value of usefulness. She absolutelywould not keep the boy around to hinder her plans.

“If you’re tired, you can go back. I’ll stay here with Felix,” Bradley said considerately.

“Brad, I’d rather stay and take care of him. Aren’t you busy with the company? There still isn’t newsabout Cole. I wonder how he’s doing right now.”

Whenever Cole was mentioned, Bradley became quite worried. Over ten hours had passed sinceCole’s accident, and the rescue team still had no news.

“Cole has a professional rescue team searching for him. It doesn’t require my personal involvement,”Bradley said with an unfazed expression. “I can stay with Felix.”

“In that case, I’ll head back first.,” Liliane stood up and eagerly left the ward.

Bradley watched Liliane’s slender figure and could not help but recall the look in Esther’s eyes on theoperating theater-the resolute and resentful gaze.

His heart suddenly skipped a beat.

Bradley lost all interest in his work. He took out his phone and called the legal department.

“It’s me. Come to the hospital to pick up the divorce papers. Start the process for my divorce withEsther.”

“Yes, Mr. Warner,” answered the other party.

Bradley stood up from his chair and walked to the window, gazing at the lush garden outside. His

gaze involuntarily fell upon Jasper, who was holding a box of small cakes.

Bradley swiftly entered Esther’s ward. She was still sleeping soundly like Sleeping Beauty. His kiss hadno effect on her whatsoever.

“Oh…” Jasper entered the room carrying the small cakes and immediately spotted Bradley. He sneeredsarcastically. “Mr. Warner, feeling free today?”

“Jasper, let me remind you that Esther is my wife,” Bradley asserted possessively.

Jasper lazily raised his eyebrows and challengingly asked, “Didn’t you divorce Esther?”

“You’ll be disappointed. Legally speaking, Esther is still my wife!” Bradley, like a dominant lion, had anintense possessiveness over Esther. “Now, please leave.”

“Bradley, the person who should leave is you.” Jasper did not back down at all. “Take a moment toseriously recall who’s responsible for Esther’s current state. It’s you! It was you who drove Esther toseek death. Bradley, if you don’t love her, set her free…”
