“You did!” Sitting in Bradley’s arms, Felix counted on his little fingers and listed all of Liliane’s lies.
“You said you’d take me to the amusement park to ride the Ferris wheel, but you didn’t.
“You said you’d take me to the beach to collect seashells, but you didn’t.
“You said my grandparents love me, but Grandma doesn’t like me at all!”
Although Felix was young, he was intelligent and had a good memory. Liliane had made many emptypromises to him without fulfilling any of them, and he took the opportunity to expose them all.
Upon hearing Felix’s accusations, Bradley realized that Liliane had indeed promised many things. toFelix but never followed through.
“Liliane, is what Felix said true?” asked Bradley.

“Pinky promise.” Felix extended his pinky finger to hook with Liliane’s.
After making the promise, Felix picked up his iPad and skillfully opened the camera, switching to
video mode.
“Daddy, Mommy, will you have more little babies in the future?”
Liliane smiled on the surface but cursed Felix in various languages in her heart. This troublemaker wasreally a curse! Why did he not die in the operating theater? How long did she have to pretend. to be avirtuous wife and loving mother?
In contrast to Liliane’s frustration, Bradley remained calm and assured in the video that they would onlyhave Felix as their child.

“Daddy, Mommy, when I grow up, I’ll take good care of you!”
Hearing Felix’s innocent words, Bradley smiled and said, “As long as you’re healthy and safe, nothingelse matters.”
Liliane suddenly slapped her forehead as if she had just remembered something. “Oh, right, Brad, thenurse said Felix needs to take a drip. Let’s take him back to the room.”

Liliane sat on the chair carefully and went closer to listen to Esther’s heart. She used a voice that onlythe two of them could hear and mocked her. “Esther, you heard that? Your son’s calling me Mommy!
“How could there be such a foolish woman like you in this world? You can’t even recognize your sonwhen he’s just standing before you!
“Don’t worry. I won’t kill him now. He still has little value to me. Once he loses that, I’ll kill him with myown hands.”
