Chapter 833

Agatha watched Felix as he typed on his tablet, holding both Felix and Sunshine’s hands gently. Shegazed at Felix with a serious look, attempting to reassure him.

“Felix, you don’t have to dwell on this. Just ask yourself if you want to live with him.”

Felix shook his head. He didn’t want to. His dad used to be less intimidating. He didn’t like his dad now.He was a small man and wanted to protect his mom.

“But…” Sunshine tilted her head and asked, “What if Felix’s dad insists on taking him?”

Sunshine’s concerns mirrored Felix’s. They were just kids and couldn’t stand up to him.

“You’re both kids, and you don’t need to worry so much. With us adults here, you can make anydecision you want.”

Despite Agatha’s reassurance, Felix and Sunshine remained unhappy.

It wasn’t until Jacob’s birthday cake arrived that Felix and Sunshine, led by Agatha, joined the guests.Sunshine sang the birthday song in her adorable voice while Felix mouthed the words.

The birthday party concluded perfectly. The guests who had come to like a wave, and the grand castlereturned to tranquility.

Bradley approached Steffan. The two handsome men stood facing each other under the moonlight.

Xara feared they might start a fight. She knew that Steffan wasn’t the type of scholarly man without anycombat skills. If Bradley tried to play dirty, Steffan wouldn’t hold back.

“Mr. Warner, have a seat for a chat,” Steffan said.

Bradley gave Steffan a cold glance. He had researched the Sandersons before coming. He couldn’tcomprehend what Esther had done to make Steffan protect Felix like that.

Steffan reassured the anxious Xara, “Sweetheart, go check on Felix. He may not be feeling welltonight.”

“Sure,” Xara replied and returned to the castle.

Steffan held a wine glass and looked at Bradley. “I thought you’d come looking for me sooner thanexpected.”

“I didn’t know they sent Felix to you.”

Steffan chuckled. “Don’t know? What do you know?”

Bradley detected a hint of mockery in his tone and couldn’t help but feel irritated. “Mr. Sanderson, Felixis my son.”

“Of course. He still carries the Warner surname.”

Despite what Agatha and the others had claimed to the outside world—that Esther was dead and theperson living now was her twin sister—Steffan knew better than anyone that she was the actual Esther, but he wouldn’t reveal it.

“Mr. Sanderson, does this mean you won’t return Felix to me?”

Steffan reminded, “Mr. Warner, Felix is a child, but he can think for himself. Since you’ve found yourway here, you should know that Felix is with me because my wife, Xara, is his psychologist.”

“So?” Bradley raised an eyebrow in response.

Steffan casually placed his wine glass on the table and replied calmly, “So, I’d like to know if Felix oryour pride is more important to you.”novelbin

A sinister glint flickered in Bradley’s eyes. He had lost everything—Felix was his whole world.

“Mr. Warner, I once was much like you.”

Just as arrogant and self-assured.
