Chapter 827

Agatha paused, her concern evident as she left Esther’s bedroom. Her temples throbbed, aching fromthe recent events.

This child truly worried her. In the past, when she was powerless and tormented by Bradley, Agatha’sconcern had been palpable. But now, Esther’s inclination toward violence and even killing was deeplytroubling.

Regret gnawed at Agatha. She realized that inducing a new personality in Esther may not have beenthe right choice. Instead, she should have helped her forget Bradley. She feared that mereforgetfulness wouldn’t protect Esther from Bradley’s potential harm.

With a heavy sigh, Agatha grappled with her own helplessness. She wasn’t sure if her actions hadbeen in Esther’s best interest.

Esther neatly hung her clothes back from the suitcase and sat on the couch. She held her tablet, scouring the Internet for information about Esther and Bradley. Clicking from one link to another, shecontinued her search until darkness descended. That’s when Agatha knocked on her door.

“Esther, it’s time for dinner downstairs.”

Esther approached Agatha and asked, “Grandma Foster, did he really imprison my sister?”

Agatha nodded solemnly. “Yes. I heard he had a secret room with a crystal coffin inside.”novelbin

These were not fabrications—they were based on real events.

Esther’s disbelief was evident. “Does he have no regard for the law at all?”

Agatha gazed at Esther and spoke gently. “To some people, the law is just a tool. Your Uncle Oliver andGrandpa Gabriel tried to save her, but she was hidden away. How could they possibly find her? He was

convinced that no one could ever locate her.”

Esther asserted, “I want to learn martial arts.”

Agatha asked, “You? Now?”

“Yes, I want to learn self-defense techniques,” Esther replied, taking a deep breath. She clenched herfists, her determination radiating from her gaze. “Grandma Foster, you’re right. Revenge is best servedcold. I need to become powerful enough to overcome any obstacle. Only then can I seek revenge.”

Agatha remained silent, understanding Esther’s resolve.

Esther concluded, “Don’t worry. I won’t sacrifice my life for such scum.”

From that day forward, Esther embarked on six months of intensive training, a plan for revenge. Sheacquired skills in martial arts, marksmanship, driving, lock-picking, photography, and more.

In less than half a year, Esther transformed from a delicate, pitiable girl into a strong and resoluteyoung woman.

During this period, she diligently gathered information about Bradley.

Over those six months, Bradley had transferred his shares in the Warner Group to Felix and continuedhis relentless search for Esther. Countless online comments praised his dedication, with somebelieving Bradley was a devoted man.

Esther was bewildered by the adoration in those online comments. She couldn’t comprehend whysome women were so forgiving of men. Could Bradley’s six-month-long search truly absolve him ofeverything he had done to Esther?

Each time Esther read posts praising Bradley, a deep well of resentment swelled within her. While othernetizens might forget what Bradley had done, she was determined to ensure he remembered forever. After all, he had taken her sister’s life.

“Esther, are you ready?”

Throughout those six months, Agatha stood by Esther, guiding her through this transformative journey.Along the way, she introduced Esther to Xara, Steffan, Jacob, Sunshine, Twinkle, and Felix.
