Chapter 778

“Maybe you think I’m lying now. If you do, consider seeing a psychologist to retrieve that buriedmemory.”

Gabriel turned to Oliver and said, “Let’s go.”

Oliver looked sorrowful. Gabriel looked at Mandy, then spoke seriously, “We’ll discuss this more.”

“Okay.”

After Oliver and Gabriel left, all the search and rescue personnel departed, and Warner Manor returnedto its usual calm.

When everyone had left, Bradley grabbed a teacup from the table and hurled it at Mandy, who dodgedit, and it shattered at her feet.

“B-Bradley,” Mandy said in fear, stuttering.

Bradley stepped closer, clutching Mandy’s throat. His eyes turned sinisterly crimson.

“Bradley…”

Mandy wondered if the enraged Bradley might strangle her to death.

Bradley stared coldly at Mandy’s face, finding no admiration in her delicate features. “Mandy, tell me,what did you want to tell Oliver?”

Tears welled up in Mandy’s eyes. Her voice was hoarse with pain as she replied, “I… I didn’t sayanything.”

“Do as I instruct. Don’t act on your own for things I haven’t approved. This is your first warning. If ithappens again…”

Bradley tightened his grip on Mandy’s neck, making her fear for her life. Just when she thought it wasover, Bradley slowly released his grip, and she fell to the ground like a wilting flower.

She lowered her head, her delicate fingers touching her neck. She thanked her stars she hadn’t hadher neck altered during her plastic surgery, or else…

“Behave yourself! Or Esther will be your fate!”

Mandy gazed at Bradley’s shoes, thinking he was going too far. Did he believe he was untouchable?

She took a deep breath, but Bradley’s grip on her neck was so tight that breathing hurt.

“Bradley, I was wrong. I won’t do it again.”

Mandy sounded seductive and apologetic on the surface, but she was secretly planning how to exactrevenge for Bradley’s attack. Murder was out of the question—she couldn’t afford to commit crimesunder her new identity. Since she couldn’t resort to murder, she would target his heart.novelbin

Bradley had gone to great lengths to keep Esther with him. What did that signify? Esther was hisweakness.

“Mandy, remember. I’ve given you and your mother a peaceful life, understand?”

Mandy bit her lip and nodded gently. As she watched Bradley leave, she took a deep breath and slowlygot to her feet. She glanced at her delicate hand, blood trickling from her palm, and smiled inwardly.
