Chapter 755

Bradley and Esther’s divorce case returned to court for a reexamination. Unlike the first hearing, whereboth were present, Esther didn’t show up in person this time but was represented by her lawyer, Tanya.

Bradley glared at Tanya, who sat across from him, his eyes burning with anger.

Tanya stayed focused on representing Esther, seemingly unaware of Bradley’s rage.

Bradley tried to message Esther, but it was like tossing a rock into the ocean. When he attempted tocall her, he discovered he had been blocked once more.

Sitting in the audience, Mandy couldn’t help but smirk as she observed Bradley, who struggled tocontain his feelings. He probably hadn’t expected Esther to skip this divorce trial.novelbin

Mandy wondered where Esther might be. While this day was significant for Esther, something evenmore important seemed to be on her agenda.

Clark’s family had returned from abroad. Esther felt compelled to meet them as a concerned party inthe accident.

“Ms. Quill, I’m Kyle, and this is my mother,” said a well-groomed young man.

Esther felt a deep sense of guilt and replied, “I’m truly sorry for what happened to Clark.”

“Don’t blame yourself. Accidents like car crashes are unpredictable,” Kyle said while comforting hismother. His sadness was evident as he knew Clark might remain in a coma.

Kyle knew that Clark wouldn’t have owed the Warners a favor if he hadn’t been sick back then. Overthe years, Kyle had advised Clark to sever ties with the Warners and reunite with them overseas.

However, Clark had refused, feeling obligated to fulfill his promise and protect the Warners on behalf ofThomas.

Esther had mentally prepared herself for questioning by Clark’s family, but their understanding andcompassion overwhelmed her guilt.

“I’m sorry. If it weren’t for me, Clark wouldn’t have been involved in this,” Esther expressed her sorrow.

Seeing Esther’s distress, Kevin offered comfort, saying, “Esther, accidents happen, and it’s not yourfault.”

Esther turned away, gently wiping her tears. She couldn’t bring herself to share her suspicions ordoubts with Kevin. In fact, she refused to believe that Bradley had any involvement in the accident.Even if it was just a warning, she didn’t want to accept that Bradley was that kind of person.

“Ms. Quill, I’d like to go see my father with my mother,” Kyle said.

“I’ll take you,” Kevin volunteered.

Kyle softly said, “Excuse us.”

Kevin led Clark’s family into the ICU. Clark’s wife immediately rushed to embrace Clark, sobbingintensely.

Esther watched their family’s reunion through the glass, covering her face and quietly weeping.

Earlier that day, Agatha had informed her that Clark’s condition was not optimistic. Even if he woke up,he would require a lengthy recovery process.

Jasper, dressed in a suit, approached Esther. “I’ve investigated the driver who caused the accident.

“Based on the evidence, we couldn’t find any indication that he accepted any underhanded money orwas following orders from anyone.

“According to the vehicle’s records and his work history, the vehicle had been passing through thatintersection daily over the past two weeks, delivering cement to a construction site.

“But…” Jasper hesitated.
